Was doing the "10 vaults on a horse" daily, vaulting over the same rock 10 times at a riverbed, when all of the sudden I get lawmen all over me from both sides, probably chasing some other player. I've done nothing wrong, but did get a Wanted level and a bounty. WTH! Can't a guy do his dailies in peace no more?

It was slightly amusing the first time, but I really could do without being accused of "horse theft" simply for riding my own f***ing horse... :facedesk:

The leveling is simply mind-numbing. At this point, I'm just aiming to reach level 50, get the plat, uninstall the game and only come back when it's fun again.

We got it today in Valentine from The Boy also. Welcomed break from all the caravan escorts, lol

I've leveled up less than 10 times in the last 6 months. Since the update I've been playing daily, doing missions, hunting, daily challenges, etc. Leveled up maybe two or three times total.

The only way to level up is grind PvP or grind cops and it's just so dull after doing that for 70 or so levels, not to mention grinding cops is now iffy with the bounty/hostility stuff. They really need to give the co-op/PvE leveling some love, I really don't know why they don't have a survival mode yet, that'd be a great and easy to add mode that'd be great for co-op leveling.

I’m level 180 and I level up 1 level roughly per day and I just do stranger missions with the odd showdown etc, it’s pretty easy to level up, I think anyway.

I used to do exclusively free roam missions to level up but it was taking too long. Was taking like 3-4 days to rank up once. Started playing pvp and I was ranking up once a day. Now I’ve got to 100 I don’t want to play pvp anymore so it’s back to ranking up every 4 days lol.

As far as levelling up goes, I started playing again on the 14th of May - the day the update dropped. Since I'd not played that much before and had a two month break prior to the update, I was still at level 57 upon my return. Today I'm at level 81, which I think is pretty decent given that it's only been just a little over two weeks now. Overall, I personally haven't found it that difficult, but I guess everyone is different with what they do, how they do it, and just how often they play each day.

Granted, I've played some pretty long sessions lately as it's quite easy to lose time when playing this game, but I've only done PvP (showdown) when trying to attempt some of the daily challenges and every now and then with friends/posse. The majority of my time is spent doing story missions, stranger missions, clearing hideouts, random encounters, hunting, fishing, picking herbs, completing the daily challenges, doing posse challenges, and so on. I try to always get a bit of hunting done when I'm moving on to one thing from the next and even during some stranger missions (especially when playing solo) when I'm running down the clock.

I do wish they'd focus more on PvE instead of PvP though! However, I did enjoy the new Showdown mode, but I played it with seven other friends, so that helped lots! I must admit that I haven't really payed much attention to what gives the most RP, but I seem to think I make more if I'm in a posse with at least one other person and we're running missions and the like together. I could be wrong, but yea, if running solo, I recommend hunting as much as possible whilst doing whatever else or when you're just riding and exploring and aren't really doing anything else. It does seem to add up and can generate a nice profit as well!

Welp I had faith in this game only got a disconnect yesterday once but didn't have anything. Today however I might be taking a break for awhile. My horse had the most I've had ever I think a 3 star elk two turkeys and like 10 pelts, kept telling my friend we should deliever stuff more often in case, we start heading there I get off my horse at one point to pick my last AmericanGinseng the game crashes as soon as I jumped off the horse runs off on my friend's game... A game like this can't have that happen it doesnt save yer stuff and if this keep happening I don't see how I can play it or I just sell stuff every 10 min which is annoying. But IDK i think im done for today that was like 30 bucks or something for near 45 min of time just made me put my hands up and go well I think I'm done this has been since BETA the same issues.

You could just vaulted over a farm enclosure of your choice ten times, no need for a rock...🤣

i did "10 vaults on a horse" at the Chadwick farm North of Valentine, as the war was still going on in Town...

There are some good parts and story is a masterpiece. But I agree on most of your points.

In which place it is a "masterpiece"?

Oh, I have a plan! We just need a little bit more money! Just one last time!
We have a Mexico right on the other side of the river that we can cross on foot or with buggy, we are being chased from the west meanwhile on the west everyone is sick and the only lawman left is a black mind dead guy which gives damn only about his small town, Arthur walking around with 8k in a pocket crying about his 5k bounty that prevents him from normal family life...

I'm sorry, but my grandchildren could write a better story with more common sense.

Well...basically I just like how that story comes together as a prologue for rdr 1. Rdr 1 is easily superior game to rdr 2 but rdr 2 ain't all bad. You've gotta admit that the epilogue is a masterpiece (story wise). And the wildlife and the map is really the most immersive thing you can find. It's just a shame they release unfinished game and keep sh*tting on it with each online update. Online gets all the gameplay fixes but SP just gets worse. R* is a terrible parent to rdr 2.

I happened to be there when doing that daily. I know I could pick anything to vault over, but the rock was on my path, so I used it :D

Be careful and rotate your horse daily if you leave this one in stable for an extended period it will go sick again.

I don't rotate my horses and I have not had that horse core issue at all yet.

I never really gave leveling up in this game much thought. It's mandatory to get some decent guns and so, which makes some things become easier. But in the end, nothing really changed about my gameplay. I still hunt, do gang hideouts and random encounters. I do as many dailies as possible for a solo player and leveling up slowly. I started with a fresh character after the big update and am only lvl 23 now. I'm not interested in PvP modes and haven't done many PvE missions at all. I just roam, hunt, sell, take down gangs and do dailies. Perhaps it's me, but this game is so slow paced, I just adapt.

Seriously, wtf is up with the Snake Oil/Dead Eye bar being drained to nothing every time you join something (especially Showdown) or change lobbies? And why the f*ck does it insist on changing my ammo back to regular rounds every time I die during Showdown or it goes into the next round? The only reason I'm playing Showdown in the first place is to complete the daily objective as I really hate PvP in this game and am getting beyond sick of seeing the same old PvP oriented objectives each and every day. Ugh, f*cking ridiculous.

Now I'm playing more, a few niggles are just plain annoying...

Camp. Uugh. Just leave it there until I say otherwise.

When I die of join a mission via join a job, my outfit reverts to my default one from when I created my character. Looks like a dick, lol.

When on a mission, every now and then I'll have animal pelts on the my horse, ain't mine!

It feels too easy to stay/get to high honour. I like playing honourable but when trying to lower it, just riding and feeding my horse is enough to raise it. Doesn't help those happy to ride rather than fast travel.

After mission spawning. Poor. If we're a part of a posse, absolutely spawn us nearby each other. But if just a group of randoms, give a bit of space please!

Getting killed when on a black screen. I've only been killed in free play twice, once was when someone on a train roof took a shot, meh. But when I'm still loading in and do so to be met with that screen saying xxxx killed you with... It's just bloody annoying.

Notifications. Every single mission, as soon as I start killing NPC's it pops up saying 'continue your streak' for dailies. I've done some already today so don't need reminding all the time.

Same for the trump cards. I KNOW I'VE GOT AN EMPTY ABILITY CARD SLOT!!! I've got two. (I've a level one deadeye from the tutorial or early, long before knowing what one was, lol). I don't want them, but if I do, I know they're there.

And I curse my love of trophies. I bought the other stables and bought/discarded 3 cheapest horses to make one pop. Costs $2.25 a day. *facepalm!

I don't like the stats screens. The buckles aspect is growing on me, and I enjoyed GTA's awards in the pause menu. But GTA's online stats for our characters are so much better.

Otherwise, it's very much game on and I hope that continues. :)

The fact we have not got private sessions yet. Offensive/defensive playstyles won't cut it, even if you're in defensive you will still be attacked by determined griefers. I been attacked four times today alone while in defensive, it doesn't change anything. No matter what Rockstar does, it won't deter dedicated griefers from doing what they do. They should just give it up and give us private sessions already, they need to quit sniffing their ass gas and forcing us into public sessions out of some delusional and misguided vision of theirs. Players will never do what you want them to do. Accept that.

Their games facilitate, encourage, and reward players for being dicks to one another. This in turn attracts bad apples who in turn create a rather toxic community. Players who want to play the game, but not be subject to the toxicity should have a means of removing themselves from it.

R* are too far stuck up their ass, it's only going downhill from now on.

Why tf make an online feedback page with dedicated sections and what not when they literally implemented just 2 simple highly requested features so far... Ponchos and poker. They waste resources on this beautiful website for feedback and do absolute minimum to actually deliver. Your feedback is irrelevant to them. They only do what fits THEM and what they have planned and what PROFITS to make their investors happy and poor Strauss Zelnick can buy a sandwich for each microtransaction that dumb fanboys openly support... I'm just so frustrated with all this sh*t this company is pulling off recently... I used to like em
