It's amazing how many times I've pulled my LeMat out of it's hostler, only to find the son of a b*tch ain't loaded for no real goddamned reason, this has happened like 4 times in the past 2 days.

Also love the fact my Horse will randomly decide to ignore my calling even tho I have max bonding level with it, really cool that is, bonus points since it's usually still visible on the mini map too.

Man just dealing with just disconnects actually sounds not too bad compared to that plus these damn crashes. 

 

What's that? I've been playing the game for 20 minutes? No you're right forget whatever I was doing and go ahead and shut it down, I could use a nice lesson in relaunching the game.

So, in the past 36 or so hours, RDO has decided to randomly declare I have no internet/Xbox Live. Despite the fact that 1, I'm still online on everything in my room, and 2, Xbox didn't inform me that I had been disconnected from Xbox Live. There's no rhyme or reason to this problem either, just happens suddenly out of the blue for no real apparent reason.  


Edit: Should note it's given me this utter bullsh*t excuse at least 3 or 4 times out of the 6 disconnects I've had, the other two were the typical "Error with R* services" messages.

Why the hell does it feel it's always night, foggy, raining + thunderstorms, sandy winds, and very few moments of the day, your sight is clear. Sunrise ar 6:00am, sunset at 20:30. First hours of the day, morning dawn, fogging up your sight and still can see sh*t all. Then some daylight riding, followed by slashing rains, thunder clouds and sometimes fog afterwards. It feels like I see 3 hours of clear skies and sunny moments. The rest is all dark, damp, cloudy, bad visibility for 21 hours a game day. 

Can't we just have European summer time always? Sunset at 22:30 and sunrise at 04:30?

Would help a lot to enjoy the environment, without the use of a lantern.

Why on earth isn't lock on working when I'm in defensive mode and get attacked?

Wasn't the attacker suppose to be unable to lock on, and not the defender?

Seems like an ideal tool for certain free aim lowlife griefers..

Neither player can lock on while one is in defensive mode, we've known this about it ever since it was first announced. You get pulled out of defensive mode if you start a fight, as well as a large hostility boost that prevents you from immediately going back into defensive mode, and your headshots don't instantly kill other players while in defensive mode. It's not exactly a griefer friendly tool.

I thought the guy in defensive was suppose to be able to lock on.

What I do not like is that the attacker and defender, if I understand correctly, is fighting on the same terms: no lock on and damage reduction.

Therefore it's free aim griefers utopia.

Yeh its sh*t for us that are no good at free aim, but i have a plan and its worked for the odd few times needed, get close enough with shotgun, dont use slugs or explosive slugs but do use normal buchkshot as the spread is wider, Better still and here is my bit "Incendary buckshot" to me has come into its own if close enough you just need point in the right direction fire off a couple and "BINGO" he burns lol

So the handull new missions were quite fun, but they're done and over. So now it's basically back to being boring again. I do hope that the new explorer/bounty hunter/trader thingie comes early this summer and actually brings something that can last for a while. Because now the game really lacks content unless you love PvP.

Anyone noticed how long it takes to load game now, it’s taking me at least 3 times longer. Last half a dozen times I’m waiting like 5 mins to load

Probably said and praised many times before, but here I go.

 

I'm still a f*cking newb to RDO. Played it for a while, got to level 16, tried again, made new character that wasn't as ugly, and oh boy is this game cruel.

 

I can't believe what a grind it is to gain XP and earn money. After playing mostly showdown (when it won't crash), I have finally gotten to level 8. But am I doing good? Nah.

 

It helped to get the pump-action shotgun plus the bolt-action rifle, but it is impossible for me to compete against other players beyond level 40, since they have more advanced means of ammunition, more powerful, faster shooting guns and boy is the shooting mechanics and player-to-player hit damage ratio unbalanced. Can I shoot someone in their torso 3 times with my rifle without killing them, not even mortally injuring them? No. Can they drop to the ground, get up and kill me instantly in seconds? Yup.

 

This game is f*cking agony. Progress is slow, painfully slow, and it seems like it is more bugged and corrupt than any other game I have ever played. I am not saying GTAO is or has ever been perfect, but contrary, you could literally grind a 3-4 missions, earn up to 40k if it went well (donnu what that is in 1899 currency), level up quicker, hence being able to buy guns, clothes, apartments and upgrades for cares faster, by that giving you a sense of steady and fast progression, consequently making it little more fast-paced and enjoyable.

 

In GTAO, updates gave even low-level players the chance to attack and defend themselves against players of higher level, by giving them non-level restricted fully automatic rifles and powerful pistols, hence giving everyone a fair chance in both free roam, competitive game modes and missions.

My best advice is, just don't think about it.

Do whatever you wanna do. Hunt, rob, missions even flower picking; it all gives you xp.

At your level there should still be some fun things to do in rdo besides pvp. 

Don't just find the best xp grind method and do it until your brain is melting out your ears, but switch between activities you think is fun.

In PvP ability cards play a big role, more so if they're maxed at tier 3. There's a old fort north of the bayou near the left side train tracks that has express ammo you can take.

 

XP and money don't go hand in hand. Best money is hunting, best XP is stranger missions. Also, pay attention to  your awards there's some real easy ones, and that's 500 xp for completing.

If you want an easy way to level up you can do the "shooting cops on St Denis rooftop"-grind. It's rather boring but you level up quite fast. If you want it even faster you can disconnect game when you get the golden buckle award. Google it for more information.

Is it just me does nearly every single orange contact person not have missions anymore? Seems i have to travel for days just to find a contact person with a mission. Doesn't take long to get bored of riding all over the map looking for something to do.

and while I'm here, why the f*ck do we have to leave party chat to play a game of poker. What a pointless restriction on the game.

Yep, that’s story missions for you. I don’t understand why people are screaming for more story missions because we all just play them in a couple hours and then never again. Becomes too repetitive.

 

I also hope the roleplaying gets expanded upon as that would, ideally, bring a lot more depth to the game. Less cutscenes, more gameplay and more content being presented to us on-the-fly, like random encounters and stuff like Business Battles.

 

I applaud R* on their commitment to making a story and the last few missions were actually quite fun and I might play them again at some point just as I’ve finished the DDH on GTAO a few times, but it’s not what I play the game daily for.

 

@RyuNova In the Event week thread you’re debating why threads shouldn’t get locked because of ”discussion should be allowed”, and then you barge into the B&M thread and start being condescending calling people ”poor f*cking summerchild” when they have every right to complain, especially here? Not fresh, man. At the very least I’m sure you can be more civil about it, or here’s another idea; don’t get yourself so worked up about people complaining. Agree. Variation is key here. R* should put in a sheitload of missions like the ones in GTAO. But also try to bring over a lot of other stuff as survivals etc. The focus on adversary modes as they do now just put me off.

Just went out and bought a new ps4 controller to have the luxury to both run AND shoot my gun.

Now when I get home, Overrun and every other showdown won't start. Infinite loading screen.

Eh...? I just go off and Hunt or Fish. The pond outside Hamish's house has some big fish that go for seven dollars each. Just catch one of them and all the small fish you catch are around a dollar each as well. You can make more money from farming fish than you can from missions. Just do that and let the mission rotation switch and try again.
