Wat. EA haven't made a good single player experience in ages. Every game they make, from day 1 of development, is made with how they can monetise the game post launch in mind. They literally ask their developers "What's your Fifa Ultimate Team?". Not only that, their games are straight up f*cking casinos with lootboxes and card packs that have turned every franchise they have into something rotten. They are by far away the worst publisher out of the big boys, as proven by their numerous flops and heavy criticism in recent years.

 

As for Ubisoft, yea, what. They've consistently made good single player games on an almost yearly basis and supported them with DLC, recently they've been putting out some great stuff as well. They're also the best out of the big publishers for supporting their multiplayer games right, regardless of how popular they are or how much money they make. They don't often make truly great games, but Ubisoft are in a really good spot right now.

 

Activision Blizzard are a buncha dog poo though that's for sure. Take-Two aren't great when it comes to monetising and supporting their MP games but they still consistently fund and support single player whether that's with Rockstar, Ghost Story, Hangar 13, Firaxis or the studio working on the new BioShock. As for Rockstar in particular, IMO it's highly unlikely that they'll stop making single player games as long as the Houser's are around. It suits them as a studio to keep doing these huge single player + MP experiences, there's no need to change.

Their sports games aren't near as good as they used to be though, mtx-driven and just plain bad across the board (lacking in lots of features they used to have). The bigger a company gets, the less it cares about making a quality product.

 

R* still makes quality games but their effort with RDO leaves a lot to be desired imo. And if GTAO2 is a repeat of the grind of its predecessor, I'm out. Not into that kinda grind anymore, it's more like work than fun.

They showed no gameplay, it could be QTE style CGI movie broken on episodes where you have to pay for each as it releases.

Why did I get a wanted level for my horse kicking a player? I didn't even do anything; I was watching from a store doorway! 

 

 

Player punched Picky, (I really thibk it was an accident because the guy was getting shot at by the law and he must've panicked or pressed the wrong button.) Anyway, Picky kicked the sh*t out of him and he died.

They haven't started anything. The moment they actually release a good, non-MTX infested game is when they'll start. Their numerous other franchises are still infested with them as well. Where as Rockstar released a massively successful and popular single player campaign just 6 months or so ago. I don't disagree that GTAO and RDO have been hugely disappointing (which has nothing to do with mtx in RDO's case) but it's really a gigantic leap to start saying stuff like "this is Rockstar's last SP" or anything of the sort.

Personally, you might not like it (I don't care for online either), but don't be shocked that a 60 dollar single player game essentially has an online supported by microtransactions.

I happily buy gold bars from them but then they need to put some effort to fix bugs really quick. Getting stuff I like for example heist, missions, cloth, bicycles. Make more use of the camp like storing my horses there instead of stables. Make Cripps take care of them.

To shortly say I need to get something back and not just fill up the CEO pocket!

Who cares what aim setting anybody uses. But why do you come across so many griefers? I run into 'em on occasion but these days not so much, sessions are usually much more relaxed and peaceful than they were before.

Calling others "weird" and saying they "need to grow up" is throwing insults. She didn't insult you by calling you a griefer though, cuz awhile back you yourself made it plain that you grief players. Excusing toxic behavior by saying "it's just a game" doesn't make it any less toxic. This game isn't all about shooting and killing, some players in this game like to do other things. Take it to Showdown if that's what you love, why impose it on those in freeroam who want to be left alone.

There is a "mature" way to play a video game about criminals with guns in a fictional Wild West.

 

Shooting horses BAD. Shooting Bison, Wolves, Bear, Deer, Rabbits, Everything Else: A-OK!

What's hilarious is I personally spend most of my time picking herbs, hunting, taking lots of pictures looking for the perfect ones. I play some Story Missions. My interactions with others are few and far between and I cherry pick random events to share here.

Talking about wanting to see the fee for killing horses reduced, which is designed to be a griefer deterrent, is very baity. We've all been around the block enough to know it's baity. We all know baity posts leads to drama and arguments. No baity posts, no drama or fighting.

 

Attacking forum members individually or as a whole (aka generalising) is also baity, causes arguments and is just plain old ad hominem. Don't do that either.

I've killed a few horses using explosive ammo, but no intentionally, sometimes the explosion kills the horse.

And about free aim, in RDO or GTA, please, the shooting mechanics are a joke, easy as it can get. You wanna prove that you are good with free aim, go and play something like Battlefield, where you have real recoil, bullet velocity, bullet drop, muzzle velocity, zeroing zeroing sights and scopes, suppression from incoming fire (and no dead eye of course). People who came from GTA or RDO can't shoot a mountain in games like Battlefield. I've played more than enough GTA, RDO and Battlefield type games. Unless you show me you at least have played over 1000 hr only in one game of those games (Battlefield 1 for example, since was pretty successful) and show me your BF tracker stats, and you don't have 100 stars with either the hellriegel or a shotgun, show me you have plenty of kills with single action rifles with iron sights, then we'll talk again.   

I was not gonna say that, but I'm tired of people being condescending to others because they are "freeaimers" in GTA or RDO.

Is like saying you are the best driver in NFS compared to Gran Turismo or similar game.

Guessing something glitches out with that particular bit of clothing in certain poses/animations. RDO is rife with clothing issues, it sucks. All of the new coat in particular have clipping issues from what I've seen.

Just an FYI, but up until the early 20th century, stealing (especially) or killing someone else's horse often carried a larger penalty than murder in many cases. There were instances where suspects were often hanged outright without trial.

 

I don't think $4 is too much; R* seems to have missed this bit of history and just how seriously it was taken back then - especially in the old West, more rural areas, and even in the UK and other parts of Europe.

My horse buddy irl. f*cking farmer doesnt treat him right, he's very skittish too, I suspect he has been taking beatings, teeth, feet and a lot of other things are f*cked the owner again, he doesn't  seem to care. Breaks my heart. Gonna have a chat to see if we can acquire him on our land soon
