[New Glitch] Playing as Arthur after the Epilogue.

I have no idea if this has been discovered before, but while attempting to do the glitch to remove the sniper from Guarma (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXxMg-Bb3dU), I was able to glitch the game to play as a healthy Arthur with the Guarma map marked unexplored (no red areas), all this after the epilogue (I reached Guarma using John).

Basically what you want to do is the above trick to remove the sniper, but time it in such a way so that the sniper kills you right after selecting to replay the first mission of Epilogue Part 2.

The instructions are as follows:

 

- Use glitch to reach Guarma (I did it with John barefoot so as to not have to enter any cheat codes to spawn a horse, therefore I can save the game in Guarma).

- Once in Guarma go to the beach area and wait for the sniper to attack (if the sniper doesn't attack, go to the place with all the soldiers, the sniper will instantly attack you).

- Usually the sniper misses the first two shots, after which and just before the third fatal shot, you want to select the first mission of Epilogue Part 2 (no idea if it works with other missions...).

- If timed correctly, the game will attempt to start the mission but will fail because the sniper will kill you. You should see the "You're Dead" screen just when the game attempts to load the mission.

- If done correctly the game will send you back to Guarma but you will notice that some items will be added to your inventory (Arthur's hat stands out!).

- After the post-death loading you will spawn in Arroyo de la Víbora (instead of the usual rock in front of the Guarma camp) and you will be playing with Arthur!

A few things to consider:

- The game is in a state where it is a mixed between Chapter 2 and the Epilogue.

- The camp from Chapter 2 is marked on the map and Javier himself is there guarding it but the camp is deserted and there's nothing to do there.

- The water is glitched as it seems to be drawing both the normal map's water as well as Guarma's water.

- While the game recognizes the locations I visit, actual map still shows Guarma and the minimap doesn't show anything.

- The game tells me that I'm wanted Dead or Alive in West Elizabeth and New Austin, however there's no sniper and John's Ranch is built.

- If you save the game when using John in Guarma (before glitching into Arthur), the game will spawn you back to the normal map when you load that save.

- If you save the game when using Arthur in Guarma, the game will spawn you in Guarma when loaded, however it will be less glichy and more similar to chapter 2's mechanics though still mixed with Epilogue (i.e. sniper will be there even if it shows the whole map as already explored, John's house is also there too but harder to reach due to sniper, Miller's house is burnt down, etc).

My copy of the game is an original 1.00 version (since I never connect my PS4 to the internet). I have no idea if it works on later versions.

You can go there as Arthur as early as Chapter 2 with the out of bounds method. It takes forever but its doable.

 

If you do it before Chapter 5/6 then the Sniper won't be active unless you get a Wanted level from the guards.

I know this, I am just showing a method to play as Arthur with unexplored Guarma AFTER the Epilogue. In other words, you can play as Arthur again after using John.

Oh. Now I getcha.

 

Its a neat exploit for us console players, seeing as we can't just use trainers to play as Blacklung again.

It's cool you have found a new glitch after all these years. I too play on 1.00 and if someone could find a glitch to go to New Austin before having to do the "Bronte glitch" in chapter 4 I would be so f*cking happy!

This is not a Glitch to go to New Austin early, it's a Glitch to play as Arthur after the Epilogue.

I am now trying to glitch out of Guarma and see if I can explore the entire map with Arthur.

Looks like the great save corruption glitch with some crazy results...

I tried to do this glitch recently during my first ever V1.0 run and it did not work so I had to install the last patch then I was able to do it.
