They are even getting train robberies(!) hahaha. I was genuinely laughing while I was reading that.

They genuinely hate Red Dead Online.

Jesus. Such wasted potential. I'd kill for Red Dead to have a competitor. If only Neversoft would make a sequel to "GUN" with an amazing online to go with it.

So is there any drip-feed content to expect on Tuesday?

Last week's discounts are valid until the 26th so we might get nothing tomorrow. The GTA Online update is also coming out tomorrow so Rockstar wants us to play that game instead

Are you kidding me? Not that I'm surprised, red dead online players are asking for some good train robberies and R* is like "Hey, train robberies would be so cool in GTA, let's do it!" 🤔

Yes, I posted it in the Quick Draw thread but it's all here, as well as the Halloween Pass 2 items - https://rdodlc.com/2021_07_blood_money/update_4/club_rewards/

thanks for the input

The folders you've uploaded there is QDC 1 + Halloween pass? Or QDC 1, 2, 3, and 4 + Halloween pass

I don't see any reference to any vouchers in the /club rewards folder
There's a whole lot of vouchers in the /2012_07_blood_money folder, seems way to many for even the QDC + Halloween Pass combined

I'm trying to put together a picture of what exactly we can expect for QDC 1,2,3 and 4

I might, actually ;)

I got frustrated in that, since even with all jobs I always felt poor and was trying to scrounge for the Mach III whatever oppressor.

It is obvious why they make so much on people buying cash in that, unlike RDO where it is very easy to make way more money than anything in the game costs.

The one thing I liked about ti was that on Xbox One I can check NAT STATUS or something, under network, which always has you in a solo lobby then ;)

(doesn't work in RDO, you get the boot off the game if you do that.)

The vouchers are just the standard vouchers from the same folder the game updates so contains new and old, other than a few things not much was added to be honest. I'll have to do some comparisons later but it's been so hot in the UK where I live I've spent less time on the PC since it makes my office twice as hot and it gets unbearable at the minute. I really should invest in an air conditioner even though it will only be in use for 4 - 6 weeks a year due to the unpredictable UK weather.

This update is underwhelming. So far I see : 6 standard crimes, 3 multi-part crimes (9 missions) and one opportunity.

That's 16 missions, and there will me more. Not bad but... Once again, now that I've done them, what should I do ?

Still nothing to grind for and no endgame content. There is probably 200+ hours of content in RDO, and still nothing cool to do when you've spent that time in the game.

Proof that it's the same people.  What I've always felt was the main problem with RDR2OL, it's not a good mix.

Did anybody enjoy this update at all? Looks like a let down from what I'm seeing compared to GTAO's huge update it just got today..

I keep forgetting there was an update at all and not just a downgrade patch that bugged the game to the point where it is almost impossible to even log Online.

Sure GTA got a pretty hefty update with alot of new content, but Red Dead got Capitale, so pretty even break I'd say.

I am quite a lot, really enjoying the new missions you can do in solo sessions and it is really stable now on my Xbox One.

The difference is that to enjoy GTAO's "huge" Tuner update I'd either have to do LOTS of money grinding OR BUY currency with REAL WORLD MONEY.

For example, the Auto Shop Property costs:

$4,337,000 to fully upgrade for maximum enjoyment of its perks. And that is just ONE aspect of the update,

in terms of financial requirements.

I think I have maybe $1,000,000 in that game (been a long time since I bothered playing, since mainly in RDO ;)

So you'd think I'm not a pauper, but in GTAO I AM; just getting to $4,337,000 would be a grind I'd get tired of, or I'd feel

like I had to buy a megawhozit 8,000,000 shark card for $60 real money/whatever.

It would be like if RDO did have the update players wanted, with properties, but a property cost 6,000 gold.

I've been playing since the Online beta, but am only now back up to 1360 gold, or so and $21,000. So my choice

would be insane grinding or purchasing gold with REAL WORLD MONEY. So would you call that a "win" or a "let down?"

I can hear the kinds of things player would say, right now, if an update like that came with prices like that that (which would

be a pretty good comparison to GTAO's "Tuner" update.)

I can't believe GTA got more robberies in a tuner update than a RDO update that's actually about robberies

A fee trips through the island heist and you can buy everything in game - too easy.

My issue is that game is old, outdated, and is filled with idiots.

Speaking for myself, I wouldn’t mind grinding again if there was a reason to. All I ask is for a reason.

5M in GTA nowadays is an approximate 2 hour grind

The update has been sort of a bland one so far I'll be honest. Now I haven't done all of the missions, but the ones that I have done have been sort of the same old thing just skinned differently.

Although I do have to appreciate the Bluewater Contract mission, not to give up any spoilers but I did like the enigmatic figure and the mini "story" that went with it. This is what brings me back to what RDR is all about, the strange encounters and things we come upon while doing our mundane tasks.

Believe it or not, people loved stories of the unknown back then. Legends were everywhere.

I would love to see more of this.

Also, since this last update time seems to fly while we're playing? Doesn't it?

Spoiler

I think a great deal of negativity would at least be tempered if there was something reasonable to spend money / gold on.

I'm sitting on $338,759.42 and 2510.56 gold with absolutely nothing to spend it on. I log in every day and complete challenges, but I'm not sure what the endgame is.

It'd be really, really nice to have some assurances from Rockstar that, in the end, all of the grinding and playing will be worth it. It just doesn't really seem like it at the moment.

I love the game world and the time period and the missions are sometimes fun to play again, but the same mission can only be played so many different ways. Oh well.

I don't know if it has been discussed here, but McDizzle Gaming on YouTube found the names of the other two jewels:

Spoiler

the diamond is Il Sovrano ("the king" in Italian) and will apparently take place in Rhodes, and the ruby is the "Ember of the East" and will take place in Annesburg.

The ruby sounds...interesting.

McDizzle has some other interesting things in his other videos referencing a new mode coming and some more info on new telegram missions.
