Gandalf the Grey
As many of you know, I created two perfect saved games for GTA3. These perfect games basically had every mission passed first time, never busted or wasted, and 100% complete. I want to do the same for Vice City, but the game is much bigger, and I'd need some help, as well as somewhere to host the games. Somebody running a GTA:VC website might be able to find a little bit of space for us? Anyway, I already have a couple of people on board, and we will begin produciton of the games very soon. My ambition is to have somebody complete a certain section of the game, if it is for example, and area in which they specialise. Ideally, I'd like somebody to set up a game (this need only be done once), with every hidden package from Island one bought, and all the bonus missions (firetruck etc) that can be done on that island complete. Then then game would pass to a second person, who could set about getting us to the second island as fast as possible, but completing every mission on island one along the way. These include things such as the PGC playground mission. Once on the second island, a third person would do the hidden packages, and bonus missions, this could be the same person as did this for the first island. The next stage would be to complete the 'Shakedown' mission. People specialisng in properties would then be asked to do that particualar proterty and set up the assets, while somebody would do the staduim, somebody would do all the other missions, Lovefist, Cubians etc, they would also be required to do checkpoint missions on that island. The game would then pass on to yet another person who would do the final missions and check over the game to make sure it was at 100%, perfect, and had a car in every garage. The game would finally be saved at the main hideout (as far as I'm concerned it's not the mansion, but the one by the stadium, but it'll be up to the team where the final save takes place). When this is all done, the process will start again, looking to get a faster in game time (2 or 3 missions in a row before saving helps). A faster time on the races and checkpoint missions will be gained, and generally all stats will be updated. Indeed we could have several versions of the game in opperation at once. The final member of the team would also update a version of the game while waiting for the next one. This would include longer wheelies, and so on. Version 1.0 would be turned into 1.1 when a longer wheelie was done, but the next game would be 2.0, anyway, I'm looking to get a team together. If you think that you have what it takes, and would like to be part of this team, then please PM me as soon as possible. You have to be deciplined, and stick to deadlines, and if you die, or fail a mission, you have to be prepared to reload - we need to keep the game perfect. I look forward to hearing from you, remember to include what you think you could specialise in, also offers of hosting would be most welcome. Thanks everyone. Spetsnaz
Im planning on doing this too, when my exams are done. I did it for GTA3 aswell. Anyway, Vice does not have a missions counter, like in GTA3. In the latter it would say "73 out of 73 missions passed", as far as I can tell Vice city does not, it just says mission attempts. Also in this it says how many safehouse visits you've had, which adds another layer of.. trickery to it. I had 120 safehouse visits by the time i finished Keep Your Friends Close. But themn again im a complete perfectionsist to the point of stupidity, if have 607 bullets, id fire off the 7 so it would be a nice evn number Anyhoo, id hate to be landed with the job of doing the paramedic missions
Gandalf the Grey
The paramedic missions would be done once, in the original starting game. Every game would be loaded from that one, so it would only have to be done once, wouldn't be too bad. Gandalf

Gandalf the Grey
You see, we need people like you for the team. So far nobody has messaged me apart from the two that I had on board before I created this topic.
me_killa
These perfect games basically had every mission passed first time, never busted or wasted, and 100% complete. My vice save game is that right now, never busted or died, never failed a mission, all packages and rampages found and completed, own everything, just have the unique jumps left todo, this is not hard to do though. Gandalf the Grey
It's not hard to do, but it's time consuming, and I haven't got much time these days, also with a team working on it, we could get lots of incredible stats, times for races etc. We need good players like you on the team, otherwise I may have to abandon the idea. HaloBreaker
Ya know what's funny? In GTA3 for the PC I got all the way to the last island without getting busted once, and only dying maybe a few times. There's so many more cops on the street in Vice city though. I got a screen shot with atleast 10+ cops on the street and a cop car driving by. I'm at 55% right now ~Halo
ChiroVette
I am not sure I understand what you are trying to do. I am about to get 100% completion in the PC version and I have not been wasted or busted. But then again I have also reloaded a previous save several times. 99% of the missions in Vice City I can pass the first time around, including the Paramedic missions (which are a lot easier than they were in GTA 3). So anyone who joined this team, would they be allowed to reload a save if they got busted or wasted? And if they did how would you know anyway. The problem with this game is that the AI is sometimes a bit cheesy. I mean I can pretty much pass any missions right off but sometimes if a cop spawns like 3 feet away from me lol while I am getting on a PCJ 600, but I couldn't see the cop, I might get busted. Or if a maniac driver slams into me, knocking me in the water or something. Not complaining about these things, just saying that the precarious nature of the AI makes it impossible to be absolutely certain you will pass a mission (or set of missions) the first time through even if you do everything perfect. LOL sometimes you just can't stop Candy Suxx from getting herself run over while you wait in the car for her. Sometimes that cop that Spawns 3 feet away from you, out of your camera view will bust you as you get into a vehicle.
[THUG]ChRONiC
Well I have reached 99% and then relised I must have saved the game with FANNYMAGNET cheat on and it wouldnt let me get 100% so I am currently doing another one with no cheats I am on 75 % every single missions is done besides the PCJ bike mission and the Unique Jumps i have never died or been busted I hope to have it completed by tonight... I have also only done each missions once besides the Vigilante missions which I did 3 times reaching level 100 3 times (gets boring after 100) to get my criminal rating up
spear33
I have a game with the only thing beaten is the ambulance missions. Theres nothing else completed. I dont know if this helps, but if you want the file you can have it.
Gandalf the Grey
OK, in answer to all questions, I am essensially trying to create a Perfect Game, just as I did for GTA:III, and make it avaliable for download, however I want to do this with a team of the best Vice City players around, so that the stats are as impressive as possible, yeah the idea is to reload games, doesn't matter if you fail a mission twenty times, as long as you reload afterwards. And to spear33, The paramedic game would be great, since I really can't find the time to beat those bloody missions right now. I'll send you a PM in a moment. Those are codes that are pernamit and really screw you over. I don't think fannymagnet will stop you from 100% tho. spinnie
How many mission attempts would be needed for this "perfect game" ? Cause I currently have my game 100% completed, and I believe I did everything on the first run (from the game's perspective), everytime I did get busted/died/drowned or failed a mission I simply reloaded the game. If it's 102 then you're welcome to my savegame if it helps Otherwise I might have saved a rampage with the retries, not sure now...
[THUG]ChRONiC
Well blossom i compared my 99% game to your 100% game and I had actually more missions and races done in my stats I know that if you use a time cheat on some races they dont show up but I was on 99% and did absolutely everything if you want my 99% game to have a look at it and tell me what i missed you can just PM me if I can get that extrat 1 % on that game it is a 100 % perfect game this is the stats http://sfx.ausgamers.com/Pics/stats.html
