PythonVier
So i recently decided to try and optimize my female character in RDO. So far I'm very happy with the face of her. But I am struggling with what body type to choose, and i have spent alot of money in the character editor recently xD here are my "problems" so far: Skinny: basically ok, but i don't like the ribcage being so visible Athletic: in my opinion the broader shoulders ruin alot of my outfits featuring a coat. It just looks weird Average: also okay but and maybe this is just me, maintaining weight seems to be harder and you can see the differences fairly well betwenn perfect weight and overweight i don't particulary like the heavier or brawny styles, so I'm torn betwwen Skinny overweight or maybe Average underweight (maybe easier to maintain?). so I'm hoping to find some advice from peolple who are already sporting one of those looks, or maybe some general pointer regarding weight
RyuNova
You can buy potions from Harriet that raise or lower your weight. You can use these to keep your weight where you want. I do this to keep my guy on Brawny Underweight as that's the leanest muscular look. It sounds like you want Average but that is the hardest to control the weight. FRIDA_KAHLO
Hey PythonViper why doncha a few levels with them and decide which type brought you the most joy I was skinny or normal I forget and younger for like fifty levels or something then became brawny and older. You know the horses groan a bit more but so do my opponents in fist fights.

GrungeNinja
Does weigh has any visual difference? I don’t recall seeing any but the constipated running after eating stew. Nerfgoth

Since I weigh more and am a sturdier base, I feel like that, I fight like that; but, I haven't gone back and forth. To me, if I am brawny I will act more brawny to fill the role, just acting brawnily, and I guess I assume it's because I'm brawny. Basically, I'm talking from an outlook of role playing, intuition, ..and confirmation bias, perhaps, and having just the experience of that one edit. It would be fun to go back and forth but be forewarned, some day *holds tarot card to head* such a practice will be frowned on, known as yo-yo dieting. But listen it's not just all my head, psycho somatic or something you know, because also all my opponenets swear up and down to leave them alone, they are more scared for bein picked on by someone their size. -- FRITA Nerfgoth

I am Brawny and I have "Ladies of the Night" call me big man and I have read that skinny females have enemies say stuff like "Save the little one for me" or something like laughing at the little girl. Really? I guess my character is bugged then, because fat or starving theres no difference.

I found that since I'm always using food buffs, like the special stew, and since they drop off every time the lobby merges that I'm always "max overweight." That is why I chose "skinny." When you are skinny, you can be "max overweight" and then you always look "average." I did this because when I chose "average", due to food buffs I ended up looking like I was in a "family way." As you say, "average" makes you end up looking fat. So choose "skinny" and you end up looking normal without having to worry about using a Harriet potion, or that you are constantly refreshing the special stew buffs/minty/thyme/oregano big game because they drop off constantly due to constant lobby merges. Yea, I had Average before Harriet and her potions and was addicted to cooked meats for healing and ended up piling on the weight. Spent an afternoon running on foot and not healing to burn off the weight. Krommer and Nerfgoth
AmyStone
I'm pretty sure weight and body type are completely separate things. I've never noticed body shape changing with weight. GrungeNinja

I tested this last night with discounted potions from Harriet, going from red Underweight to red Overweight gives Brawny a significant gut and love handles. Dark Spark
I have a lot of trouble keeping the weight on my character (Average body type). She is chronically underweight and looks perfectly all right with that build. I've tried the tonics before, and the max overweight look was not all that noticeable (especially knowing that it was never going to stick).
