Money glitch not working

OK I saw a YouTube video on how to get unlimited amount of money in GTA 4. I parked my vehicle near an ATM at the hospital to prevent the medics from attending to the body. Once, a pedestrian has withdrawn some cash, I killed him, took the money and left the scence for a few moments.

 

But when I return, the lifeless body just disappears despite no medics taking it away. On top of that, no cash respawns on the same spot. I tried a few times but am unable to reproduce this glitch.

 

For your information, I am playing the complete edition on Steam if this helps. Please advise. Thanks.

I don't know how to help with this but honestly I don't think you get that much money for your time with that glitch. IIRC the best/most efficient way to make a lot of money in the game is to complete Stevie's Car Thefts (unlocking the ability to sell any car at his garage), park an expensive car at the nearby Bohan safehouse which will often cause a lot more of the same car to spawn parked in the area, and keep stealing and delivering them (popping in the safe house to save when you get a wanted level).

 

If it's a sports car (I went for the Turismo since you can easily get one from the car showroom in Algonquin) you can make like $10,000 per car doing this, which adds up to a good amount pretty quickly. Sometimes you'll even get good ones spawning right outside the garage as you leave.

Thanks for the kind reply. I know about this but the problem is, I started a new game and completed only 3 missions. So doing Stevie's Car Thefts is out of the question so early in the game. Besides, if you just started the game, getting a lot of money is a bit of a problem but in late game, there will not be any money issues.

 

So given that I am still early in my game, I want to get at least $10k if it is possible without progressing further just yet.

I found a simpler yet less efficient method on how to get a decent amount of money very early in the game. Just go to Brucie's hideout in the industrial area around 10.00pm and steal a bank truck. Destroy it and it would give you around $1500 to $3000.

Good stuff! Annoyingly that works even better later in the game since at some point the amount inside increases to around $10,000 (don't know if it's gradual or exactly when it changes but it's that much by the end). Plus you can use a car bomb as a very convenient way to blow it up quickly (ie without spending ages ramming it into stuff until it sets on fire or parking next to a gas pump and blowing the pump up by throwing things at it), without spending any money on pricey grenades or rockets, and without a wanted level.

 

For early in the game $1500 to $3000 is pretty good though. Could also do Brucie's car thefts and Jacob's drug deliveries for some extra cash since you can unlock them fairly early. You get $1000 for each car and $800 for each bike for Brucie and $250 for each delivery for Jacob. There's Roman's taxi as well but you only get like $20-$30 a fare.
