Yet another "Rockstar Games Library Services" post

Been searching and reading all over the place - haven't found anything about this yet.  R* tech support is, as expected, completely useless, just sending me random canned "fixes" that have nothing to do with the problem.

Tuesday I updated the launcher. Immediately started getting the infamous "Unable to connect to the Rockstar Games Library Service." (Windows 10)

Went through the standard fixes. Ran as administrator. Tried compatibility mode. Etc.

Went into services.msc and lo and behold - the service wasn't even there!

Hmmm - did an uninstall and reinstall of the launcher. Service is now in services.msc. Set it for automatic start-up, hit start, service running. Sweet.

Launch the launcher. "Unable to connect to Rockstar Games Library Service."

Back into services.msc and - the service is gone again.

Tech suport is pretty useless. No, I can't run a games files integrity check since I can't even get the launcher to work.

24 hours later - no, this has nothing to do with my TCP/IP stack.

Never had problems with the service until the launcher update on Tuesday. Any ideas?
