RamsaySaint77
I feel this was just a stupid decision for Rockstar to make, the vehicles featured on the websites should have also spawned in traffic being driven by ai or parked in places where you'd be able to steal them, the game is called Grand Theft Auto after all not Grand Buy Auto It would've helped add to traffic variety in the game, the only cars classified as supercars in the ps3 xbox 360 version of the game that spawned in traffic were the Infernus, Bullet and Voltic and Adder although the Adder is parked only and in ps4 and Xbox one they added the Turismo R and Zentorno I feel they were gonna make cars like The Cheetah, Vacca, Entity, etc spawn in traffic or parked but for some reason they removed them in the final game and made them exclusive to websites where you have to buy them instead of steal Gta Online especially has this problem, with so many dlc cars added over the years and none of them being added into traffic or into the world itself and the traffic is even less varied in online That's how I feel about this personally Edited June 20, 2021 by RamsaySaint77 MekhiSkyline, REVENGE777, GEETEEAYEE and 2 others

This is where Watch Dogs 2 cut the crap and made this much better. All vehicles could be purchased through different dealerships - but could be ordered through one app. Once you bought the car, it was your's forever and you could order it free of charge and it would spawn nearby, and you could change the color, paint job, etc. Of course this served as an alternative to custom garages and safe garages, but it was much better to navigate than GTA 5. IMO, GTA 6 could learn a lot from WD2 when it came to buying cars. ddarko12, The Tracker, Rotorhead359 and 1 other 3

We have the interaction menu with a million options and everything takes forever to get to. Then you have the phone, which you use to call services or your garage, and then THAT sends you to ANOTHER menu to make your selection. God forbid you accidentally make the wrong selection or back out of the menu, then you have to start the process all over again. Why the hell can’t we do all that on the phone in the first damn place? I call my garage and the list of cars is on my phone, with some pictures or something. Idk, but it shouldn’t be such a convoluted process. The Tracker, CynicalMexican, Zello and 1 other
Ondr4H
Well I expected many garage slots and every vehicle to be able purchaseable also most of them in traffic. I also expected car insurance... Yeah online gets it all, but I never touched it. But I have my doubt for E&E. Rotorhead359
French Fries
There should have been a couple really nice rare cars that only spawn in traffic. The only way to get one would be to get lucky enough to spot one and then you'd have to chase it down and steal it.

See this is what bothers me and I don't really understand it- I've been a console gamer all my life. Literally never even bothered with playing anything on PC (outside of small games like Sim City) until I had to upgrade my laptop last year and decided to pick up a gaming one. Never modded a game before. But there were plenty of resources and guides online that took only a few minutes to look over and follow and I set up OpenIV, all of the necessary tools and got to downloading stuff. Never had any issues, it's not complicated at all. It's gotten to the point where if I don't like a car's handling for instance, I know exactly which values to change/flags to remove/add. Not trying to be arrogant, but people make it out to be a lot more complicated than it is when it's really not that hard to set up at all. I even had some idiot try to tell me why some sh*tty GTA:O car handled like sh*t and how I wouldn't know any better because all of knowledge of messing with the handling.meta is just anecdotal blah blah blah. And I have the car handling and driving 10x better than whatever bullsh*t Rockstar put together. There's no complex reason as to why the cars in GTAO handle the way they do or have the issues they do other than somebody coded it that way and likely to be within the sh*tty confines of keeping "balance" in GTA:Online racing. But that's off-topic. Never been that tech-savvy of a dude, but it's really not that complicated at all. And when you play the game, it's surprising how easy it is to just have the things you want and have them be the way you want them to be. There's no rigmarole, most times I just load the game up and play it and there's no issues at all. On 6/24/2021 at 2:32 PM, CynicalMexican said: Yeah that's such an arrogant viewpoint. Again as someone who played on console most of my life, it's really a night-and-day difference. Most of the things people complain about with GTA V can be fixed to the point where the base game seems unplayable. The biggest issues I've had were a few crashes (worthy trade-off when the game runs 100x smoother most of the time than on consoles) and some mods are definitely a pain, such as anything that requires map builder, ymap or any of that. I just use add-ons and most of those map builder houses aren't lore friendly anyway. And modding the traffic is really as simple as editing the popgroups.ymt and vehicles.meta to adjust spawning frequency. Which brings me more onto the topic, I don't know why Rockstar decided to make expensive cars exclusive to websites in a setting like Los Angeles. A place where you can spot probably 50 Bentleys in one day, and yet the Bentley in game (Cognoscenti Cabrio) only appears in a mission and on a website. Very stupid. I feel like Rockstar did a very lousy job on traffic variety in this game, it does not capture the vibe at all and quite frankly I see more high-end cars when I go to my own local mall than what spawns in this game. No overheating, no stuttering most of the time (I mean you're gonna have some issues but it's not prolonged), solid 60FPS with graphic mods, and a fully custom popgroups with about 300+ vehicles that can and do spawn (do NOT add cars without LODs to popgroups, they will cause crashes LOL). Of course you can also adjust the settings. I currently run high settings for 1080P, but going over to 4K (which I do to snap pictures) does drop the frames quite a bit. But yeah, depending on what you can get, a gaming laptop is more than enough to play GTA V with mods. I was surprised myself that you didn't need to build a PC to play some PC games. I still want to build a PC, but mainly for other reasons. Like I could get Forza Horizon 5 for this, but I'd rather for a desktop where I can run it to high asf settings. For the most part, I wasn't, and I'm still not when it comes to a lot of things. People obsess over FPS, crazy graphics, blah blah blah... all of that wore off on me very quickly. Had someone sell me the idea that after playing with 60FPS and above that I'd never be able to play a 30FPS game again... Yeah, tell me why I still return to Xbox 360 to play some GTA IV and still have a lot of fun? None of the typical stuff about PC gaming ever interested me. What did, however, was the ability to configure things to my liking. And I'm a very picky guy. I wouldn't even call myself much of a gamer as I don't put that many hours in these days, but when I play something I do want it to be almost exactly how I want it. And the biggest problem with GTA V (and GTA Online) is that it's full of so many "why did they do that??? / why didn't they do that???" situations. Stuff that really had no answer, and if you complained about it people were basically just like "it is what it is" or if you're lucky you got some moron who thinks they're an expert in game development telling you why something so simple couldn't be done. I think I could write a laundry list of the things that annoyed me with the base game. What annoys me now? The fact that deers awkwardly jump in front of me driving past Paleto and... maybe that the map is a bit too small and... the traffic AI is still insufferable. That's about it. Any car I want, I can have it. Any color I want is possible. You can even edit carmodcols/carcols to add new colors just to use them as pearlescents to do a paint color combination that wouldn't be possible otherwise. In GTA:Online, in order to get certain mods or, worse, color the interior because Rockstar forgot to add the ability in LSC, you had to use stupid glitches like the merge glitches (which always get patched). You had to restart your game every single time you wanted to so much as slightly adjust you crew color paint job. All of that stuff takes about 15 seconds with Menyoo (longest part is searching for a color to make/replicate). And big thing here is, I didn't care for all of that nonsense like adding every real car to the game, mansions on top of hills, running some over-the-top graphics mod on the highest settings in 4k and all that. I didn't want any of that, just a better game and that's where the surprisingly big (although drama-filled) lore community comes in handy to not only "fix" things but add more things that don't look out of place. A few years ago, some of their car add-ons looked quite bad. But now they've seemed to have "out-Rockstar'd" Rockstar themselves. I'm just rambling on at this point but, pretty much what made me pull the trigger was that. If I wasn't into modding/configuring stuff, I probably wouldn't have done it. And with some games, it isn't even an option. Try to mod Forza, you get banned. I'm sure other games are similar. RamsaySaint77
It just seems so unlike for Rockstar to do this All the previous Gta's you were able to steal cars like that off the streets or in parked locations and it felt rewarding, but in Gta V most of them have to bought off a website which just isn't as fun, Gta is about being a criminal especially when it comes to stealing cars and for Rockstar to take that away and make most of the exotic cars exclusive to a website is insulting and takes the fun away, It's why I feel Gta V and Online have the worst traffic variety in the series I hope Gta VI doesn't repeat this mistake but I'm certain Rockstar will do something Edited July 11, 2021 by RamsaySaint77 Ivan1997GTA
