LeatherJacketSoldier
Hello people, I've got a question for the ones that ever edited .ifp files. Yesterday I edited the Desert Eagle firing animation (the one while standing up, not the one while crouching), and I wanted to create the very same animation with some minor changes to use it in the Desert Eagle poor firing animation (the one that plays when you have poor level, instead of gangster/hitman level). I'm using 3DS Max with KAM's Scripts. The question is, How can I copy the same animation? I'm aware that there's the "Save" option that creates an .ifp that has only the current animation you're working on (as opposed to all the 5 animations, in this case), but I couldn't find a way to use that new .ifp in the original .ifp to replace only the animation I'm speaking of, leaving the rest intact. Tell me if I have to do something with the "Save" option, or if that isn't how it's done, how can I do it. Thanks in advance. Additional question, this one doesn't need to be answered (I'm OK without it but it'd be better if there's an answer) : when I was editing python.ifp then checking the results in game, I noticed the legs pose can't be changed with the animation I was working on. And if I'm not mistaken, neither with the poor firing animation. Is there another animation in another .ifp where I can change this? If there is, Is it the same pose that's used when aiming the rest of two-handed guns, for example the Winchester, the MP5, the M4 and so on? This last question is derived by the fact I only want to change the Desert Eagle's legs pose, and leave the rest as they originally are.

Okay, I managed to do it by dumping the .ifp into a .txt, then editing the .txt, and then compiling the .txt into an .ifp again using CoinGod's T2B program. The first time I tried doing that, the game crashed upon load, that's why I started this topic. I must have messed up something while compiling to .ifp or while editing the .txt, but now it worked. For the ones interested, it'll be added to my last mod in GTAInside as a new version of sorts. Still, I'd like to have this question answered, since I solved the main problem by myself (don't get me wrong, there're no hard feelings guys): On 6/17/2021 at 11:31 AM, LeatherJacketSoldier said: When I was editing python.ifp then checking the results in game, I noticed the legs pose can't be changed with the animation I was working on.
