Activation Error when Launching GTA V

When I launch GTA V, I get this error https://imgur.com/a/4H8JTvH

I downloaded a copy from Epic games back when it was free. I then bought a copy from steam months later. My steam account and my epic games account are now linked to the same rockstar social club account. Is there a way I can fix this issue or do I have to download the game from epic games just so I can play it? Please help.
