Im "cheating" too atm, im in lap 11/50 in goliath, using the Sesto Elemento Forza Edition, before i did 50 with the BMW Forza Edition, damn i should have bought it in the ms store, then i could keep cheating while playing the new battlefield at the weekend. Now i got both of these games in steam. Well nothing i can do about that, i could have let forza run on my laptop while playing bf on the main rig. They fix that exploit soon anyway i guess, i will make the most out of it. I want all cars etc. but don't wanna grind for it. I got enough grind with GTA and soon Battlefield. Im rank 49 with a star atm already.  

 

Still got more than 1000 wheelspins left in FH4 lol, did a glitch there too.

I'm not doing Goliath lol. I'm just drifting around in my Viper lol. I did glitch three accounts on FH4 though and made over a billion but I gave most of the money away because all I use are cheap drift cars.

 

I just did the same thing now on FH5. But theres a new Gift Drop feature so you can give away cars for free to randomized people, instead of just deleting them from your garage.

 

I've gifted away like 200 cars now. Including some FE cars. I don't care about collecting cars. I just need my BMW M4 and a couple of the Formula D cars.

Might give the Viper a go again, I used it a lot in FH4 before switching to the 599 but I fancied a change in FH5 so I've been trying out the M2 and RX-8 but I aint feeling 'em.

I haven't played the Horizon games, just Motorsports and think last one I played was 3 or somesh*t on the 360. Well over 10 yrs ago now.

 

And I adore the FD Supra, I have them all, or close to and just cling to the Supra the most. You can also win the FD Viper off the wheel, btw.. So if that's the prize for 3-starring them, that's lame.

 

I'd like to try my hand at the vinyl creator, eventually. Spend majority of my time in those when any game offers it.. NFS Heat; spent more time in the creator than I did playing.

Aye out of the box the Rad Supra is the best so far I reckon. Mad Mikes RX8 sounds the best but turns a bit weirdly IMO.

 

But why have all that when you can have a V12 GMC Van?

I'll do any set up long as I can practice with it. I'll be honest though, I have a few mixed rwd/awd pre-made tunes on vehicles just so I could get right into it.

 

The tuning seems to be same as GT just not so in-depth, but pretty close. Would take me few hours trial and erroring a tune to my style. lol

Did someone had this same error while trying to start the game via Xbox App? I tried to run it as administrator but when I do nothing even opens.  I also tried to repair and reset the data on the computer settings.

Minimum System Requirements

Confirm your PC build is actually capable of running the game.

Forza Horizon 5 PC Specs

If you have an on-board graphics processor be sure to set priority to PCI-E > PCI > Int.Graphics/Int.GPU in BIOS.

Run MemTest to rule out any RAM related issues

Administrator Account

Log in to Windows 10/11 with a local Administrator Account and launch the game/store as an Administrator. This fixes the majority of cases reported.

Check for Updates to Windows 10

Always ensure that you have the latest updates to Windows 10 by clicking Start and typing 'Updates' in the search box.

Once you've updated, perform a complete shutdown and restart your machine.

Microsoft Store and UWP game reset

Make sure all to set your game to the highest priority in Task Manager.

Windows > Settings > type Apps & Features > title > Advanced Options > Reset

The game does not explicitly support and may even see certain applications/software as a conflict or threat and as such refuse to run, or run with crashes.

Disable ALL background software or applications including, Antivirus, Firewalls, and any FPS boosting or monitoring software.

• Any software installed that may be adjusting or monitoring power settings

Then, make sure that your Power settings are correct

1. Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options

Hang or Crash when Suspending and Resuming [Windows 10/11]

Make sure you have not disabled Forza Horizon 4 as a background app.

1. Click the Windows button on your PC
2. Open Privacy
3. Scroll down to Background Apps on the left-hand side. 
4. Scroll down to the game title and select the slider to turn it ON.

Downloading with current Account from Microsoft store

1. Open the Microsoft Store, then in the top right corner click on the profile picture.
2. If you have multiple accounts signed in, sign out of all of them but leave the email account linked to the game's purchase signed in.
3. Next, in the Microsoft Store download any free app at all.
4. Then try playing the game again through the Microsoft Store 'Library' page.

Disabling Development Mode

1. Press Windows + R.
2. Type Powershell and hit enter.
3. Copy and paste the following into the Powershell window and press enter.

Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”} 

Reboot your PC. 

Make Sure the Time/Date on your PC is Correct

1. Right click on the clock on your start menu.
2. Select Adjust Date/Time.
3. Untick then retic 'Set time zone automatically'.
4. Reboot your PC.

Missing/Corrupted files 

The game may have encountered an issue with a recent update (Windows, Drivers, Content) and refuses run with crashes or missing updates.

1. Ensure you have the MOST recent Windows 10 update
2. Make sure your Graphics Card is updated with the latest patch, after windows update.
3. Reset Store and Application - Windows>Settings>Applications>title>Advanced Options>Reset
4. Full re-installation of the title

VR/Windows Mixed Reality Headsets.

We are currently investigating an issue regarding Forza Horizon 4 crashing when using VR/Windows Mixed Reality Headsets. Please make sure you have these unplugged when attempting to launch and play Forza Horizon 4. 

If you are still having an issue after you've tried these, please submit a ticket using the option below and attach your event logs and DXDIAG.

Instructions on how to get your event logs:

• Try to launch the game.
• Right after the splash screen closes you will want to type Event Viewer into the start menu and press enter
• Select Windows Logs then Application. 
• Select any warning or error messages to see if its related to Forza Horizon 4 (or the title of the game you are going to submit a ticket for).
• If so, you will want to select 'Save Selected Events' from the Actions on the right hand side.

Run the Microsoft Tool

Go to the link and save/run the tool. Follow the on screen instructions to troubleshoot/fix your issue.

Reinstall Microsoft Visual C++ programs

1. Press the Windows Key + R, appwiz.cpl and then press Enter.
2. Locate the Microsoft Visual C++ programs in the list.
3. Select each entry and then click Uninstall.
4. Download a fresh copy of Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime from here and then install it.

Reset the Microsoft Store

You can use the steps below to refresh the Microsoft Store which will clear the cache and refresh your library permissions. This fixes the majority of the cases.

1. Close the Windows Store app if you have it open.
2. Click Start and type 'WSRESET', without the quotes.
3. Right click on the command and click 'Run as Administrator'. If the Windows permission box appears, click 'Yes' or 'Run'.
4. A black MS Dos screen will appear for a few seconds. Wait for it to disappear and the Store will automatically open.
5. Attempt to Install the Forza title.

Check for Exception codes after Crash

If you are crashing and receive no error or windows pop up directly from the game, please use this guide to diagnose your PCs issue for the Crash event that may be occurring,

1. Open Event Viewer by pressing the Windows key and type "Event Viewer"
2. Click on the "Windows Logs" folder
3. Click on "Application"
4. Click on the "Date and Time" column to sort and look for "Application Error" around the date/time your crash happened.
   • After you find the Application Error for the game, you will notice "Information" on the right.
     In this tab there will be a ton of information listed. Please check the error code to see if you have anything related to these examples below

I keep getting disconnected online, which makes my car come to a FULL STOP for some reason. If you have a combo going on when it happens, it also deletes the combo.

 

I never had stability issues on FH4, so I don't know what they did.

I found out, you can't have more than 999 car skillpoints, those that can be used to upgrade the cars. I had to spend 999 today in order to make room for more, i just maxed out all Forza Edition cars i have. Now im in lap 24/50 in a AFK Goliath again.  

The Sesto Elemento Forza Edition is very nice to do the AFK thing, i created a tuning for mine that does 9:47 ish laps, it mostly auto drive mostly leaves the track one time a lap, but always finds it's way back on the road again. It goes up to 369-370 KMH, and almost stays at that speed the whole time. Thought it would need some sort of special tuning or something, but nah it was easy creating this, just upgraded all to max, gave it max downforce, the 6 gear transmission, and moved the main slider of the transmission as much to the right as possible, then moved it back to left until i was at 369 KMH, and voila a 99% stable AFK tune for Goliath. Didn't have to interact since 24 laps, so i guess it's safe. Gonna let that run another time tomorrow morning, until after work, then i start playing Battlefield 2042 on the weekend, and continue doing the AFK thing on Monday. Not sure when exactly BF2042 is released tomorrow, but i think it's early in the morning or in the early evening. Hopefully not the day after due to timezone weirdness.

I get same but never come to a stop or lose anything when it happens, least of what I've noticed. I just press X and select Retry.

 

@Mexicola9302 The tune(9:20's) I found gets up to 431km/h on straights and goes off once, the stone wall. AI just takes corner so wide with the Sesto. The X5M FE is best I got for staying glued to the racing line but does 10:2-1:3's. Idk what top speed is. Only ran it once or twice on a 3 lap.

 

Haven't tried anything else.

I must be the only one that isn't doing AFK Goliath. I'm just drifting to gain levels and money.

Well with my tuning and going off the road once, it probably takes 8 hours to complete 50 laps of Goliath, that's better than with the previous tunings from players i used, there it went off the road multiple times, and sometimes got stuck, mine hasn't once yet. It only goes off the road at that stone wall like you said. And 9:47 lap time is good IMO, also the skillpoints that tune creates are great. Best speed combo the AI car does is like 350K or something not bad, and inbetween 250K etc. yeah it probably will be 999 skillpoints with each 50 lap goliath, i will see it tomorrow morning. Gonna take a screenshot of it, and post it here.

It takes me 20 minutes to get 100 skill points by drifting lol. I don't need a glitch to reach end game. I'm skilled enough that it comes naturally. I've even already got my drift cars and 3 starred every zone on my second alternate account. 

 

If anyone else wants to drift just PM me. Let's mess around.

I was doing that, but meh. Still enjoy it and play it. I just wanted the spins, and not for the cars or money.. I want a certain horn.. lol

Does anyone know how to put players in the same session? FH4 the convoy lead could find a new session for the convoy and that would sometimes work. Can't find the option to find a new session in FH5 though
