Does Track IR work in Forza? I was using it playing Elite Dangerous last night and it never occurred to until just now that maybe Forza supports it? Probably not. 

 

The parade float race was more fun than it should have been

 

Did everyone get gifts from the Community Team? I logged on to a couple free cars, a Divo and a AMG CLK GTR. A nice surprise that sort of makes up for the sh!t spins.

Having fun with all the new stunts and set a new top speed of 304 in that new speed zone on the freeway. Jesko of course.

 

I got the 40-point car again this week, but I thought it was a 'Zonda C', not a truncated Zonda Cinque Roadster which I already had. Derp. So free to a new home, after raiding the mastery. I always choose 'new player' for whatever reason. Salty vets won't care and already have it probably. But a new player that just started a couple days ago will be thrilled to open the box and find a Zonda C in it. Or that's how I imagine it anyway.

Not a good week/season for me. Most of the good rewards cars I already have. And no seasonal championships. Wassupwiddat?

Is there anyone slower than Dock who wants to trade rivals laps? Just my luck that the only player responding is 8 seconds faster at every track. My laps are mostly in the top 1%, so 150k out of 1.5 million or whatever. Seems good right? Then Dock comes along and he's like in the top 500 everywhere.  a zero-percenter. I could chase a few seconds, but these gaps are too much for me to overcome.  Even if first-person costs me some time here and there, it doesn't cover these intervals. You're just really fast mate, and I call your car the Trimeresurus, which is a pit viper the color of your Dodge.

I wish there was a radio station that played the menu song on loop.

 

I tried last night to get the daily objective for taking a picture at the jungle trail blazer start gate. What's the trick? I couldn't trigger it.

If a challenge doesn't work like you'd expect, it's broken. FH5 has far, far too many broken challenges to the point it's getting ridiculous, never had the issue ever in FH4 either.

 

The new stunt park is pretty cool though, had some fun getting the challenges there and it was nice to see other players in there as well. Do like that they do things like that here, little changes to the map, using the stadium, etc, for holiday events or themed monthly series. I can totally see them doing a great drift track in the stadium too, that'd be fun.

Maybe it needs to be taken from the right angle, as in facing the direction the trailblazer goes in? Though I doubt this is the case tbh (can’t remember how I did it. Might just be just broken for some for whatever reason (or perhaps you’re at the wrong gate even  )

 

Example: the BMW Isetta challenge is broken for me; can’t get the 2nd objective (speed trap challenge) to register. I’m not in any shortage of forzathon points so idc about losing out, but the fact that it’s broken is annoying. Like Jason mentioned, FH4 never had issues like this iirc, just some wrong descriptions at worst (which PG promptly informed everyone of through the notifications system)

I got the Issa one, I had to upgrade it of course, and I hit the number exactly. Was it 150 mph? On the button, and no higher. That thing sucks to drive anyway, but with all that extra power it still sucks.

 

The photo objective triggered for me. Yeah, I tried all sort of positions and angles but it wouldn't trip, and then it was. I never saw the notification for it, but it was checked off in the list.

You've to use the standard (untuned) version for this part.

They could be a little better with the descriptions. Like for example they tell you to do a cross-country race but forget to mention what type (sprint or round race) so you've to find out yourself. Don't know how often I started a race just to find out it doesn't counts for the specific task. But that already was an issue with FH4.

They do make the distinction, as far as I'm aware, never had the issue my self because of it. Pretty sure point to point and circuit races have different suffixes depending on the type of race (road, street, offroad, etc).

I've read that some things are getting lost in the translation. German can be a little "clumsy" and they only seem to have limited space for the description. Maybe that's the problem but there were multiple occasions where it wasn't clear and I had to try both types to see which works. That was already the case in FH4 like said.

I've had quite a bit of trouble getting objectives to trigger the past few weeks. Like the 6 stars at danger signs for the Hoonigan RS200 Evo. It took probably triple that number before it tripped.

 

That's a great little car. It's fast and well-balanced. Jumps level which is nice for those danger signs.

The RS200 Evo is one of the best dirt cars available, especially when engine swapped with the Racing V8. Overall best iirc is unfortunately a gd Lola T70

The Hoonigan RS2000 is one of the GOAT stunt cars once tuned up, it can literally be used to 3 star all the base game stunts in the game no issues, especially the trailblazers.

 

It was rare as f*ck in the last game so I only ever got one just before I stopped playing but it's buyable here so I nabbed one very early and I think I had 3 star'd all the base PR stunts with the help of it by the second or third day of the game.

 

For all round stunting/drifting I usually use the Hoonicorn v2 these days tho for that 8x multiplier.

Seems they've recognized the issue with the descriptions of the festival events and now made it much more clear what to do.

Yes, it is, but they've watered down the rewards so much that I don't think it's quite what it could be.

Haven't fired up Forza in a couple weeks, probably going to skip the rest of this season. Anything new?

 

When I come back it will be in a full pit. I bought a new wheel and pedals, a cockpit and a new monster monitor. And while I will give it all a go in Forza, me mates and I will be running Assetto Corsa Competizione and maybe branch out in other stuff -- rFactor, Race Room, even a return to GPL! Starting a racing league on a different site.
