Is what you say proven though? I had a Collection vehicle  and then I sourced a non-collection of same car model.

That will happen once you've got one of every vehicle already.

Absolutely, what I have found these last 2 weeks is that you need 32 individual models to make this trick work. 

If you have anything above that (33+) you need to sell ALL duplicate vehicles til you get back down to 32 or below 32 to make this trick work again.

 

For example let's say I have the 32 individual models and then source another car to get 33 cars in total and let's say it's a Massacro so I now have 2 Massacro's.

I now decided to sell a T20. In theory, when I go to source a new vehicle I SHOULD get the T20, but remember I have 32 cars and the game thinks I have one of every model so this time it is completely random. 

What I need to do to guarantee a T20 is sell ALL duplicates, so I would need to sell one of my Massacro's to guarantee a T20 when I source a new vehicle.

It sounds complicated but in practice it isn't.

It's pretty simple. 32 different cars exist. The game first fills up each of the 32 different cars, then duplicates. 

Before you haven't had all 32 cars you wont get any duplicates.

 

Step 1: sourcing, sourcing, sourcing until you collected 32 cars

Step 2: sell top range car

Step 3: source the same top range car you just sold

Repeat 2 and 3

 

Now if you want to sell collections. Its all about the plates. There are three (not 100% sure how many) different plates for every car. 

 

Step 1: Source all 32 cars

Step 2: Check collections page which plates are not fitting

Step 3: Sell model with wrong plate

Step 4: Source car

Step 5: Repeat 3 and 4 until you sourced the correct model with plate

Step 6: Sell collection

 

All starts with the 32 cars

Saw a comment on here from someone saying they had sold 10 high-end cars (now deduce it was to free-up space).

Thought we had to sell 10 to get the bouns.

Saw splash screen about sourcing not selling.

Sourced 10.

 

Sigh. Oh well, another 2 mil to toss on the Scrooge McDuck sized pile of useless money.

Awesome summary, so basically you wanna hold 31 individual models and none of the collection car you want to source.

 

Pretty good strategy will give feedback if it works.

 

I like how you don't have to modify the cars in a collection as well so it is a lot smoother. If the some random goes afk you could POSSIBLY go back after your sale and grab his car.

 

The sale location is the same and close by too.

I wanted to sell one last car at $200,000 .....modify the car and head out of the garage....loading screen....waiting ....waiting.....waiting longer than usual.....still waiting....okay this is a really long wait...

 

 

All of the sudden my character spawns outside of the garage, no car...

I go back into the garage and the car I was trying to sell is gone from my inventory. 

 

And not only that but the value of selling a top range car is back down to $80k

 

Okay it got weirder.....as I'm sitting there looking at the screen where I can now sell a top tier car for only 80k, all the sudden I hear the music in the background change to the music that plays while you're trying to deliver a car......so I back out of the computer and stand up away from the desk.....and the message comes up "collect the Tyrus" which is the car I was trying to sell a few minutes ago for $200k.

 

Only problem is I step outside my garage and there's no car out there....I looked all over the map to see if the Tyrus I modified was somewhere else on the map.  Nope.  No timer either, just the msic and "Collect the Tyrus".....I think the game glitched on me lol

Well sourced about 30 top end and sold em all including the original 6 top range I started with . Good money combined with afk fortified mixed with ss hh and hostile takeover .  Cayo still makes more $$ but it was a nice switch up for a while.  Earned about 20 million from cars and ceo work . I got a pink diamond waiting then time to sit back paint a few cars and free roam chaos a bit .  I wonder what tunable guy will have in the vault theese  time

I'm pretty sure that's what happened to me last night. I remember going to sell, saw 80K and backed out. I can't remember if I just got booted outside or I walked outside. A source appeared but no call from the assistant so I had no idea what was going on. Maybe you had a "look at the picture" source. That one doesn't show up on the map.

I'm so happy I managed to complete Headhunter with the Ultralight without crashing while it was x2.

 

The tiny gun is very powerful and has long range, but hitting the targets/vehicles while not crashing is a bit tricky.

Also I sold all my cars, tried out a few different vehicle warehouse locations, and concluded Davis (Franklin's garage) is the best for doing missions by driving, or LSIA (Big House) for Cargobob usage. La Puerta is pretty good as well; the only issues with it are that in a solo session the NPC cars have bad spawns when driving, there are no good hiding places either for killing them and on source missions the building/highway is always in the way when approaching the warehouse with the Cargobob. In comparison, Big House is wide open to the North so you can go in full steam, and Davis opens to the East.
