GRANDHEIST
After a long, long time, I guess it's finally happening: but geez louise, the man looks like he's ready to get his own tomb raided... What will be the title of this final adventure? Indiana Jones and The Uncontrollable Bladder? / Indiana Jones and The Opening of the Pickle Jar? Lol, I'm on the other side of that one. If that bozo is in it, it'll go from being a day one must see to wait for TV flick.
ThatBenGuy1998
I really hope that Harrison Ford lives to be eighty years old when this movie comes out because I’m actually quite hyped for it! I am also in high hopes that he will be combating an organized crime syndicate also chasing after a certain artifact. If it’s a foreign government again, no worries! I’ll just rewrite it much like I have with The Last Crusade, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and Raiders of the Lost Ark. I have to say though, if mobsters are his adversaries in this one, it will probably save me a lot of work. Lol. Ivan1997GTA

Jason
I wonder if they'll deage him, and if so will they use a body double for the action sequences. Cause while I really enjoyed The Irishman, watching a 70 year old De Niro try to kick somebody to death was pretty awkward, never mind a nearly 80 year old Harrison Ford trying to be Indiana Jones. A fair point, and I believe we had similar thoughts regarding De Niro in The Irishman, lol. But for this movie, they really could embrace the fact that Indy is old and past it for comedic effect while bringing new characters to do the bumps. (I've not seen trailers nor read much about this yet mind you, much like any movie, I prefer to go in cold as and then pick it apart, lol). He should play it like Sean Connery in Last Crusade Indy wearing the same clothes his whole life is pretty goofy, though
The Time Ranger
I know Hollywood is a business first and foremost, and the Indiana Jones name gets asses in seats, so it makes sense they'll try spin out another one, but Harrison Ford is old, he was still not exactly young during Crystal Skull, and that was 14 years ago, sure there's cgi and stunt doubles, they'll make it work one way or another, whether or not it's good is another matter, but for me Crystal Skull is where his story ended, crappy movie but a happy ending. Old Indy rode off into the sunset. Maybe if they try the passing of the torch which was hinted with Shia Labeouf in Crystal Skull, and have Ford play a more Sean Connery style role a la The Last Crusade it might work out. I'm curious about the timeline here, the last entry was set in the 50's, will we be in the swingin 60's now? A chase scene with Nazis through Woodstock perhaps, Indy whipping hippies put of the way, pausing to take an offered "cigarette" and suddenly the lsd laced weed kicks in and he starts hallucinating that his whip is a snake and that he's in another sequel. Who knows. Ivan1997GTA and Mister Pink

Yes, this exactly what I was thinking. And I think it's the most viable way. If it's not Shia, then someone else to at least pass the torch to. Good thing is we're getting a game and a film. I think he will be de-aged for some sequences, because last year there were those leaked shots of a stuntman riding a Nazi motorcycle at night with a 'young Harrison Ford' mask on, suggesting some kind of flashback. I have faith in James Mangold, particularly for what he did with Logan, and the way he presented older versions of familiar characters. I don't mind the fact that Indiana Jones is going to be an old man in this film. One would expect that the action sequences and physical expectations are age appropriate. I also wouldn't mind if the treasure hunt in this latest instalment presents a more cerebral challenge for our intrepid hero, and he has to use his experience and intellect to get to whatever the McGuffin is. They need to embrace Harrison's advanced years, and not try to pretend he is still a young man. If they do this, it could be pretty great tbh. ThatBenGuy1998
I heard that Antonio Banderas is gonna be in this movie. I’m kinda hoping for him to be the main antagonist of this film and for him to portray a Mexican cartel member (and yes, I know he’s from Spain IRL). Perhaps Mads Mikkelson and Thomas Kreutschmann can play ex-Nazis who have fled to Mexico after WW2 and found him as their new employer. They can be the secondary and tertiary antagonists respectively. Toby Jones can play an FBI agent who is an ally of Doctor Jones. Haven’t really figured out who the other stars can be just yet though. Ivan1997GTA
Big Molio
There were some leaked images from the set a few months ago which showed Ford and Waller-Bridge in a field overlooking extras who were in Roman centurion type costume, with the rumour being that time travel may be a feature of Indiana Jones 5’s plot. Jason
Time travel sounds wacky as f*ck but then you remember it's actually one massive step down in wackyness from the 4th film, lol. Ivan1997GTA
your best pal
I LOVED the indiana jones movies, 1 to 3 that is. it's universally agreed upon that the 4th movie wasn't good, at all, so #5 could should be an improvement by default
Big Molio
I just hope that ‘5’ doesn’t continue the trend of having the same number of companions for Indy in the final act as the movie’s release number, as it gets a little busy. ROTLA - 1 companion (Marion) TOD - 2 companions (Willie and Short Round) TLC - 3 companions (Marcus, Sallah and Henry Jones Snr) KOTCS - 4 companions (Oxley, Mac, Mutt and Marion) Edited July 1 by Big Molio
