Special Item (Crates)

Can you hold more than one special item at a time?

Yes, and you can sell more than one at a time, too.

That's why it makes sense to have a small warehouse just for special items -- unless you want to have 5 large warehouses of course.

One more thing: You do not get a lobby bonus for special items, so don't bother selling them in a populated lobby.

Cool. Basically I want to have 5  bad special items and one warehouse that has the good one. Then i can keep sourcing and selling the beat item

Does anyone have an indepth-technical explanation on how to get the special item mission to trigger?

I feel i have done many many crate missions yet i dont get the call.

For reference, I once filled 2 Large Warehouses through 3 Crate missions (74 missions in total), I only got 2 special items in that time, one when I was around 20 missions or so done and the second right after my 73rd run.

They trigger via RNG by actively participating in Crate Sourcing. You'll never get the phone call about Rare Cargo by randomly driving around as a CEO, and the above reference should tell you how rare it is to actually get notified about them, i.e. there's a slim chance, not a guaranteed one you'll get one rare item in the process of filling 1 Large Warehouse. I was just very lucky that day, more often than not when I only owned 1 Large Crate Warehouse, I wouldn't get any call about Rare Cargo in the process of filling it up.

Sidenote: You don't get High Demand Bonus for selling Rare Cargo in a populated lobby, so try to find the emptiest lobby you can log into before trying to sell.

That's just my experience but it seems to me that special items are triggered after I collected a certain number of crates, like maybe every 50 or so. Getting the call is random though, probably a small chance for each session. However, what I noticed is that even if I'm in an invite-only session and therefore can't collect the item, I got the call again a few days later despite not having collected any crates in the meantime.

If you want to manually trigger them, do 20 crate missions and then keep changing sessions and checking on the PC if you got a special item. After a while, you should see one. This is the quickest way.

I should have a couple of special items won from the casino wheel, but they don't appear in my warehouse nor on the sales list.

If I'd known about that being an issue, I'd have disconnected my Internet experienced random spontaneous connectivity issues after spinning the wheel months ago. Or complained to Rockstar.

After at least 20 missions (no crates, missions so if you buy 2 crates after 40 crates) you have chance 10% every day from assistant to call you but there a bigger chance that she or he will call you right after you deliver cargo

Nice answers. So after 20 you can start doing other stuff and she might call you.
