Still have them on 360, the discs. I wouldn't mind playing through them. Especially since the graphics boost looks great. Β The Crysis games were basically only really popular as YouTube videos. They looked amazing visuals wise but never stood out gameplay wise, Crysis 1 was by far away the most popular but it was more because of theΒ meme "yea but can it run Crysis?" - no one actually did run it, cause no one played it lol. Wasn't the most popular series, and it's kind of in a dark age nostalgia wise so I get it not being the most asked for remaster ever, but damn between the lukewarm reaction overall and the post above, people are acting like they're remastering Haze! Jason Posted June 11, 2021 Share Posted June 11, 2021 It's not as if they're bad games, they're really not, it's just they were never particularly popular and they left little to no legacy beyond "oh hey those are the games with great graphics" - well Crysis 1 was anyway, 2 and 3 didn't do anything special. Β Always thought it as CryTek trying to sell an engine more than it was them trying to make a great game tbh, though the reason why the games might never have fulfilled their potential might have something to do with the company being ran like dog poo and barely staying afloat for years. Β There's been some rumours that they might be one of the studios MS will announce it's acquired on Sunday on mind you, that could be pretty interesting. Mexicola9302 Posted October 15, 2021 Share Posted October 15, 2021 I played through all 3 Crysis games, i liked the second one the most. I guess i will get the Trilogy, i mean the games aren't very long, and you don't have to collect or craft anything, you just kill enemies. It was my Halo alternative as PC only player. Just for the heck of it I installed 2 via GamePass after reading the reviews.Β Lots of people claim 2 is the best.Β About 15 minutes in I was like "sure i'll pay 20 bucks for the remaster".Β The remaster is nice.Β Β Β It was interesting switching from the old one to the remaster in one sitting.Β So much smoother... LittleBlueTroll Posted October 26, 2021 Share Posted October 26, 2021 I actually went back and started a new playthrough of Crysis 3 sometime last year (or whenever the first big UK lockdown was - I've lost all track of time) Β I got maybe half way through the story (which was about 3/4 further than I ever got) and then just... gave up on it. It wasn't even a conscious decision to stop playing it, I just left it one day and then that was it. There wasn't enough to keep me hooked or to keep me coming back for more. Β I done exactly the same thing with Wolfenstein: The New Order recently.
