Dance Awards Question

So I am working through some of the Award criteria for the After Hours where you have to dance to a specific artist for so many minutes. Trying to get the Platinums (60 min) for each artist. My question is do you have to push A to get credit for your time dancing. Or can you simply just stand there and periodically move the joystick so you don't go idle.

Yes you do have to be actively dancing for it to count, HOWEVER tap X to Boost Intensity instead, because Boost Intensity doesn't need to be tapped to the beat of the music that's playing. That's how I did it for both After Hours and The Cayo Perico Heist, it lets you zone out and focus on watching/doing whatever else you could be doing in that time.

theres 1 award that requires you to tap for like 5mins, the 60mins one you can rubberband R2 to get in dance mode so you dont get kicked for been idle

i got that one without knowing there was an award for it, i just got carried away and kept on tapping
