Introducing New GTA Online Stunt Races
Get Triple Rewards All Week Long, a GTA$100K Bonus for Completing Any New Stunt Race, and More

Buckle up, strap in, and put your helmet on — there’s eight new Stunt Races making their way to GTA Online this week. Whether you prefer to be a part of a blur of tuned-up sports cars rocketing past on the freeway, motorbikes hurtling around the Palmer-Taylor Power Station at full tilt, or supercars pushing the physical envelope in gravity-defying courses, these brand-new tracks have a little bit of something for the adrenaline junkie lurking within all of us.

8aa257e236ee90146ebfdac89b810396ee046aae

Sun, Sea, and Chicanes

Experience the majesty of nature as it hurtles by your window in the kind of nauseating blur that’s sure to leave a smile on your face and your dinner on the dashboard. Stunt Race for classic sports cars.

fed498a91816e8d9a22ba09a0778d8e681e26659

A Tight Spot

Does the crushing stress of the modern world leave you feeling like the walls are closing in? Prove once and for all that it’s not just in your head when your scalp gets violently sanded by the tarmac above. Claustrophobics need not apply. Stunt Race for motorcycles.

086aedcedd8e8d4a5098358d9c3f3ba759e9b43d

Bridge Too Far

Between the mayhem and carnage of a track packed with the kind of lunatics who take a swig of Terroil while filling up their tank, is there a better time to truly appreciate the structural integrity of the La Puerta Freeway? No. There’s not. Stunt Race for sports cars.

56ce30bc3d32a954c0a40d7aed93056b138e0a4c

Cluster Struck

Inspired by postmodern nonlinear French architecture, this is what you get when you feed your architect nothing but Deludamol and Blêuter'd then watch as he flatlines into the scale model. In other words, a work of genius, and one hell of a Stunt Race for muscle cars.

2da857dd99918d604740791e31ca5c80d5b00e6f

Vicious Spiral

How much G-force is too much G-force, and wouldn’t you like to know first-hand? If you answered, “there’s no such thing” and “hell yeah” then you’re the ideal participant to run in this phase two clinical trial. You can rest assured the scientific findings will be greatly appreciated when they scoop you out the driver’s seat. Stunt Race for supercars.

87fd7297bce1fa07cbc13f30d8eff70e000c0369

Canyon Fodder

After an expensive lobbying campaign, the race organizers have managed to exempt this race from the yearly San Andreas road-fatality statistics. Because if you decide a big ass truck should take on aerobatics, you get what’s coming to you. Stunt Race for off-road vehicles.

5cfc7712b9ca70fa0eb87640fb37df498b1f7dec

Smoke Up Your Asphalt

In an effort to distract the health and safety board from endemic violations, the Palmer-Taylor Power Station has agreed to host a tribute to the power and beauty of fossil fuels. The advice? Ride this race like it’s your last, because if the jumps don’t get you the noxious fumes will.

c2cdbb744e98ae3cb13c2f2fd6c10cf78b695db5

City Limits

Clear your throat, loosen your tie, and inform the AGM that you will finish strategizing as you hit G-force. It’s time to take business outside. Is anyone taking notes? Stunt Race for supercars.

c4057783d18cdcc1f3195653f92f1f8f78ac9449

Completing any new Stunt Race between now and June 2nd will net you a GTA$100,000 bonus and the Canis American Legend T-Shirt, both of which will be awarded within 72 hours after logging in on June 7th. And all Stunt Race competitors can expect a healthy payday in any new or classic Stunt Race — to the tune of 3X GTA$ and RP — all week long.

2X GTA$ and RP on Simeon Missions

Simeon Yetarian has been called many things, most of them unsavory, but one thing he is for sure is enterprising. If the mogul of Premium Deluxe Motorsport contacts you for help with a couple recoupments and repossessions, take him up on his offer — he’s paying out 2X GTA$ and RP to all takers on Missions and Premium Deluxe Repo Work.

Thanks @IceDree for the quick Newswire summary!

3x bonus on stunt races, and $100K, and a free t-shirt? Well... It'd be rude not to partake.

Sun, Sea, and Chicanes - a solid track, albeit pretty unimaginative and not particularly 'stunty', but it's nice to take the Classics out for a blast.

A Tight Spot - for a Motorcycle race, I'd rate it pretty highly. Certainly a unique track!

Bridge Too Far - has a nice flow to it, without too much gimmick-for-gimmick's-sake. And accessible for all Sports vehicles (unlike a few original tracks where some cars could fall short of jumps)

Cluster Struck - I can't say much complimentary about this one! Why the track is made for Muscle instead of Compacts is baffling, not to mention it being a chore to race on. Avoid.
Vicious Spiral - definitely one of the better ones from Rockstar's own catalogue. What is a fairly generic Supers race has been sprinkled with some surprisingly well utilised aesthetic choices, making it a joy.

Canyon Fodder - not a bad track, but has little to make it stand out. Just another Offroad point-to-point without a whole lot of offroading. And restricted vehicles gets rid of bikes (good), but limits vehicles to just a handful (bad).

Smoke Up Your Asphalt - just another Motorcycle race. Nothing special. Switch off brain, apply accelerator.

City Limits - just another Supers race. Nothing special. Switch off brain, apply accelerator, see how many spins you can achieve before landing jumps for juicy RP bonus.

Leaderboards/wrs are so broken for these races, Jesus Christ. At least everyone can get a blonde tattoo now. Or like reach level 1k in a week lol.

I'm curious as to whether Rockstar have spent any dedicated time on these new stunt races and done something innovative or different, or whether they're pulling past efforts out of the closet and doing the usual marketing something-from-nothing manoeuvre? My guess is that it's underwhelming marketing, but I'm going to log on for the first time in 2.5 months just to see.

Either way, it'll be good to race some tracks that others haven't hot-lapped to death and I might even get some wins against noobs for a change? It's been a while since I've properly stroked my ego.

Won the car today, got a sh*t load of record times giving huge RP, bonus hundred grand and double on Simeone to wash it all down with.

No complaints here! Quite enjoy these new tracks. Thanks @IceDree. 👍

I'm not sure what people's expectations were here? They were very clear in the initial announcement post - eight new stunt races, not more, not less. The real juice is coming in the Summer. A couple of the races seem to be getting pretty good feedback even.

If you expected more than the stunt races and a regular event week then it's on you.

Spectre "2K"

eh...racing's not really my thing, but i'm glad they're throwing a bone to the people that do like it. I'm waiting for those survivals, assuming they aren't as garbage as zancudo or forest

But there are no complaints here except for the "I'm too old for this sh*t" post, which is rather nasty, I agree.

I feel that you're maybe trying to curtail public opinion before anyone has had a chance to express it.

It's cool, bro. I haven't even had a chance to play yet - still at work - but it's nice to have something to look forward to from Rockstar, even if the tracks do prove to be the standard Rockstar fare. I can be a bit withering at times, I appreciate that.

Ah, I see where you're coming from. Seen other threads/forums and the general negative feedback and think maybe it's a bit too harsh? Yeah, people should reserve judgment a little bit and understand that this is just another event week with some new creations on offer.

Not a racer, so zero interest there. Could wallpaper my entire house & a small shed with T-shirts I'll never wear.

I do look forward to failing some Simeon Repo missions with randoms - it'll make a nice change from failing heists with randoms, with the added bonus of my teammates being able to kill me on top of trolling and leeching.

As always, thank you to @IceDree - oh, and it's "Voltic". 😆

I know, it's priceless. I played for a couple of hours and went up 6 levels.

I did a couple of laps to see which cars I thought would be worth trying. Usual suspects, GTO, RSX, Pariah Krieger, Emerus, Turismo Classic, different spoilers etc.

Then set 5 laps, broke the record over and over, then switched vehicles and kept breaking them again.

Once I'd got a track pretty nailed I moved onto the next one.

I couldn't give a stuff about the leaderboards, they always end up a casserole of nonsense within days anyway, it was the insane RP I wanted.

I got the Racing Blonde tattoo being the first to ever race "Forest" when Cunning Stunts came out, so I don't worry about that either.

Really nice tracks on the whole. Far less annoying technical "catch you outs" and more racing and speed with some nice flowing fast corners not ruined by an immediate hazard.

Feels less claustrophobic and more open and flowing than the first gen tracks. And that jump through the neon is awesome.

GG Rockstar, really good.

Btw - someone mentioned the tight and technical muscle track, yeah it's a nightmare in the Yosemite, but it's an absolute blast in the Dominator GTX. But totally agree that compacts would have been a great option. That is what struck me most about all the tracks at first play - I felt there were multiple classes that would have been good on each track, and wished they had allowed more like in the original street races.

These new stunt tracks are pretty terrible, you can tell that they forced some employee to play the most upvoted edgelord trash custom stunt tracks for a few days and that employee just copied those, because these new tracks all have the same bs that makes me hate custom tracks with a passion (tight/blind corners & loops, distracting environment, spots where others can completely destroy your race easy, etc)

Either that or they somehow concluded that with pretty much nobody playing F1 races, that was actually a great succes and we want more terrible tracks with too many corners?

Either way im sure these new tracks will grow on me eventually (or at the very least some of them) but i cant wait for the week to be over and the older stunt maps to re-appear in the voting screen.

The one with 'Vertical' was pretty dope! But yeah the others sucked, they honestly should have made Kart Racing but I guess they need a real update to do that? I'd like Kart racing

Are Simeon's Repo Jobs the ones that are hard to join a lobby for? I looked in my phone to quick join and didn't see anything that matched it besides standard Contact Jobs.

I called him for a job but it put me in my own lobby. I guess I can swing by PDM, maybe there's a circle.

There was a map icon for those iirc, you might have it 'hidden'. Just undo that and you should get in a populated lobby, assuming you're in a public lobby

OMG This is the best RP grind ever. After 10 hours of gameplay today I went from level 1216 to 1242. Set one of the new races to 7 laps and am getting 15k rp every lap because the world record never updates + the 5k rp at the end for doing the race. 110k rp every 17ish minutes. Feels good to see those levels fly at such a high level. Never thought I would see the day.

Also these new races are amazing! F*cking love the smoothness, flow, and sense of speed on all of them. Especially “Bridge Too Far” but I may be a bit biased on that one as that's the one I have grinded for 10 hours lol. Sucks that this absolute bliss will only last a day and tomorrow the world records will be "updated" or shall I say filled with modders. Glad I took advantage of today.

Played another 30 minutes got to level 1245 to end the day. Wish the day would never end and the world records would never update. RIP to the best RP grind day I have ever had.

The main thing these double and triple Stunt Races do to help us 4-digit weirdos, is remove the cap. A standard stunt race will *never* pay more than 5k RP IIRC whereas these are uncapped and you can clear 20k for a win in a full lobby.

And WR per lap doesn't hurt lol. You used to be able to do that in the defunct "Challenges" menu, a 5 lap race solo on Criminal Records would yield 5 WRs plus $250k if you did it right.

Wow haven't thought about that in years. I remember around 2014 when that was a thing I was making bank on those races. Sad they straight up removed it instead of just fixing the payouts.

I broke my personal ban on GTA online last night for the first time in 2.5 months and after a few screams at the TV for demon lag, pitting, ramming and general racing indecency and incompetence, I started to remember why I love GTA online so much, with full lobbies, competitive racing and the chance to use my wide array of vehicles. Most of all, I had fun, which can't be said when you're playing the same game every day of the week.

My fondest moments are using the Rampant Rocket on 'A Tight Spot' and coming 10th out of 16 LOL, and coming 3rd in the Vapid Hustler in 'Cluster Struck'. i.e.; a car with no brakes on U-turns and sharp bends. I particularly like point-to-point 'Canyon Fodder' and trying to keep it on the road, and the weird 3D jumps in 'Vicious Spiral' (although the race itself is rather bland and requires little driving skill). It's best to keep to the positives, but if you're a hardcore/keen racer, there's also a lot to dislike about these races, especially the lazy use of stunt props in 'Smoke Up Your Asphalt' (who wants to fall off the edge several times?) and the horrible use of metal barriers with gaps, overlapping sticking point and places where you can get caught and spin off.

As an event week? Great fun for a few days, and If I'm still here posting about this next week, serves me right for being a video game addict.

Welp, looks like they fixed wrs, was fun while it lasted ^^

Load up City Limits and put it on 5-7 laps on non contact. The listed WR is 1:45 which is very slow. I’m rank 1326 and I’m ranking up almost once per race by getting WR every lap. You should be good to still do it.
