Farming Sawn-Off Ammo [No Ammunation?]

Plenty of Special Vehicles in this game require Sawn-Off trick, which involves shooting the wreck/pushing intact vehicle[Toreno's Last Flight]. And they sometimes require A LOT of ammo. So a question appears from me:

How to farm Sawn-Off ammo quickly, and preferably without using Ammunation? If there's no viable options, then yeah...

I assume by using ammunation you mean without purchasing guns. If you have a sawed-off shotgun then enter the shooting range and immediately exit the range. This will double the ammo in some weapons (including the sawed-off shotgun). Keep doing it until you get enough. If you go above 9999 ammo the ammo counter for that weapon will simply disappear and it will reappear once your ammo drops to 9999 or below.

Apart from Sawn-Off Shotgun it is hard to get more shotgun shells and there are only two fast ways to get more shells..

 

- Capture all "Snapshots" in San Fierro and get 120 chrome shotgun shells near the Doherty garage. After that you just get it, save the game and repeat it.. 

- Collect all "Horseshoes" in Las Venturas and get 120 combat shotgun shells in front of Red Dragon Casino.. You know the drill.. get it, save the game and repeat it.. 

 

Talking about "Toreno's Last Flight" there is a TRICK that will save your ammo and time.. You will reduce the weight of this maverick by a file change..

 

- Find the game directory and find handling.cfg under the "Data" directory and CREATE A BACK UP of it..

- Open the file with NOTEPAD++  (I'm not advertising this program and it is completely safe/legal/free) and find the "Maverick"

- Change the "Mass" value from 5000 to 1000 and save the file.. Now all mavericks in this game became lighter..

 

You changed the value but you still have to shoot it in order to push and drop it out of helipad.. Good luck SenTiteL

So you complain about ammunation glitch but advertise modifying game files to make stuff easier. Lol. That's some reverse logic to me.

 

If you don't wanna use the ammunation glitch just spray all the graffitis in LS then sawn off will start spawning at CJ's house. Pick it up, save the game, repeat until you have enough.

lol, somehow I've forgotten about Shotgun there... Thanks, man. This one will work for me perfectly. Sad though that all weapons are removed after "The Green Sabre"... 

And now I'll have to do all of this tagging again... Another day, another hour wasted on tags. Cool.

I'm a straight not reverse and i'm OFFERING (Not advertising) him an easier and safer solution (Yeah file change doesn't ruin the game and save file if it does properly).. By the way i forgot to say.. As you know you can always switch shotguns without losing ammo and SenTiteL may have easily get/reach enough numbers if he choose capture snaphots or collects and switches to Sawn-Off at Film Studio (Los Santos)

If you still have the camera just focus on capturing snaphots.. it will be a lot faster and easier than spraying tags (Also you will get 60 Sawn-Off Shotgun ammo for each pick up after spraying al tags). I assume that you don't want to create a "Weapon Budget" value and that's why you don't want any Ammunation options.. Just try to do what i say and switch the Chrome Shotgun with Sawn-Off Shotgun when you reach enough ammo

Maybe I forgot to note that I'm currently on "Ryder", which is almost the beginning, thus, I don't have too much options. Still actually a good solution about snaps. But I'm not so skilled to quickly drive around and take photos with Enforcers/Police Choppers on my tail, plus I never remember snaps' location. So I'll preferably tag the Tags.  In addition, I'll have another good weapons (notably AK and Molotovs) at the house, which will serve as a good start. Also Homies will start holding better weapons right from the beginning of the game.

Anyway, switching a Chrome shot to Sawn-Off with enough ammo is a nice strategy too. But, I think Collect Ammo-Save-Repeat tactic will be the best solution, since it's easy and requires not so many time, patience and skills. Spraying Tags will be also easier than capturing snapshots for me. Just a long process, that's all...

It seems you have to wait for "Tagging Up Turf" and spray all the tags during this mission. Just allow Sweet to spray the first tag for you. Than head through NRG-500 and spray it with this bike. If you are into %100 Completion you can also get oysters from Sevilla, Docks, Airport and maybe even around the Red County 

 

Capturing snapshots with 4 Stars is actually fun but off course it is optional

Yeah, Tagging Up Turf is going to wait a bit. I have a few more tasks to get. 

Well, I think I'll collect Oysters during Drive-By. Wanted Level is gone, so it's a Free-way ride.

Try to find a Seasparrow.. It is perfect vehicle for all collectables.. If your plan is like this why don't you collect ALL collectables around San Andreas??

That was my plan, I just forgot to note this. Oysters, Snapshots, Horseshoes, all of this I'll search up and collect. Thanks also for the Seasparrow note, I'll look into it.
