How would one go on porting a GTA 4 ped model (or just maybe the head/hair) to GTA V?

So for awhile I've been seeing all these IV ports and I wanted to try one myself after seeing a really cool Packie mod but after digging around I can't seem to find any tutorials on how this would be done, porting cars are the only tuts I can find. So I would love if anyone could link me to a tut or maybe write out a tut just so I could try and throw my hat in the ring of this IV porting lol
