GTA Online - Cannot join session of friends or other Players / unable to connect to game session

Hey there GTAForums Community.

 

I've been playing GTA Online for a while now. Sometimes with my friends or just randoms.

Recently I'm experiencing some problems playing with friends or just random players in a GTA Online Session.

 

But first some background-story:
I'm playing GTA Online on my Manjaro Linux Machine via Steam Proton (A compatibility layer, that lets the game think I'm playing on Windows).

So far it worked pretty well. I could play with my friends and some other random players.

 

But yesterday (after a Rockstar-launcher update) I noticed that GTA Online has a weird behaviour.

The thing is, when I join a GTA Online session, it works, but I'm all alone.

First I thought it is normal, but when I wanted to join the session of my friends, GTA tells me that it is "unable to connect to game session". (see picture)

 

The other interesting part is, that I receive invitations of other players, which I cannot join of course:

 

I also tried my brothers account (on his Windows machine) and it worked fine.

 

I don't know if I'm correct here or if anyone can help me with my problem. Furthermore, I don't event know if I got somehow banned by Rockstar by using Proton / Wine to play GTA.

I really have no clue what to do next. I even reinstalled the complete game.

 

I'm unwilling to install Windows to just play GTA. If it worked before, it should be able to work into eternity, until Rockstar patches something.

I also tried to contact Rockstar by the mail they have listed on their website, but unfortunately the mail-address is no longer in use.

 

I hope someone here is able and willing to help me.

I am having the same issue, figure out a solution yet?
