Anyone else feel sometimes the community gets toxic when it comes to the topic of the 3 endings?

Now personally,I picked ending B at the end because I thought that storywise it fits a lot more than the other endings (Franklin does to Michael what Michael did to Trevor and Brad). However when I mention that somewhere people just come screaming at me and preaching about how ending C is the only true Ending. In YouTube comments I have seen people being very mean to people who say they picked another ending than ending C. I remember seeing one saying something along the lines of "you are not a true fan if you picked ending B or A". Anyone else feel this is stupid and makes the community seem unnecessarily toxic?

While I understand why they love C and consider it to be the true ending because of the fact that all three we spent many hours bonding with survives in the end, it's wrong to pick on others for their choice. Rockstar made those choices for a reason, because there are people who don't like Trevor or Michael. I see what you mean, it is pretty toxic. But comment sections in general are pretty damn toxic very often atleast. Try not to take them seriously. In the GTA 5 Next Gen post, I've expressed how much I'm looking forward to it and how it can seriously be an improvement, but all I get are KEKW emotes from people who love to laugh at anything. It bothers me a little, but I choose to move on and still have some goddamn FAITH in Rockstar

I always pick ending C but I think B is the best ending.

I wonder what kind of fan that makes me?

I think if they had put more work into the Kill Trevor/Michael missions and they were more along the lines of the Third Way in terms of length and difficulty there would be less toxicity

Maybe, but who cares. Whenever I replay the game I always pick Ending B.

Ending C is canon , already confirmed in Diamond Casino and Resort update for gta O

TLAD fans , Option A
GTA IV fans, Option B
GTA fans , Option C ofcourse

Both option A and B doesn't fully resolve the story though. Say after ending A, what's stopping Devin to go after Michael and his family as only Trevor is dead and same with FIB faction under Haines going after Trevor in ending B. Even ending C needed to be longer imo: basically it needed to be 5-6 more missions of the trio planning to take out their enemies once and for all and executing it systematically, not everything in 1 go.

Ending B is just Bullsh*t you still didn't get the promised money from Devin Weston after the ending

The killing Michael and Trevor endings felt like some last minute decision that they threw together real fast. They should have just had one ending.

Personally I don't like either ending. I only pick C to keep them all alive.

A: You kill Trevor and that's it. No continuation of the story after this. We don't know what becomes of the Lost MC, Ron or Wade.

B: You kill Michael, end of story. You miss out on some money too (in ending A, Trevor's cut from the Big Score would be split between Michael and Franklin, in ending B, Michael's family gets the money and leaves the state)

C: You kill all your enemies in just one mission and you live happily ever after. Should have been more missions.

I think in each of these endings, the story ends way too abruptly, and there should have been more story missions for all 3 of these endings, not just the side quests.

Ending B has grown on me over the years. The parallels between the Trevor/Brad situation, Jimmys phone call, Amanda taking hush money and leaving the state. Maybe even going back to the midwest. It all comes back in a way, none of the endings are very satisfying to me so at least be unsatisfying in a way that goes down bitter.

I hated ending B because it made absolutely no sense for Franklin to do that. Ending A makes a lot more sense because of how unstable Trevor was, but Ending C is my preferred ending.

I Don't understand why what you do with your own personal time playing video games matters, lol.

Ending A is the best. Honestly burning to death in a gas fire is too good for Trevor. They should have given you more control over how you kill him to make it more satisfying. But I guess they didn't want to upset the room temperature IQ Reddit audience he was aimed at too much.

Ending B never sat well with me. First starters I do like Micheal, albeit the least of the trio. But why would Franklin obey some rich dude whom he seeming dislikes after f*cking him over to then kill the guy that made him one of the wealthiest people in the state? Plus the dialogue for ending B seems all over the place and how does M automatically know that Franklin is there to kill him when they meet up? Did M get an autonomous tip from Dave or something?

Ending A fits better seeing as both M and F seem to dislike Trevor and they both know the government higher ups would never let them be if T didn't die and the government IAA can easily get Devin to back off by using the same measures on him they used of Mr. K...

Ending C I don't really like either because of how easy it is to kill everyone and how the trio seemingly knows where everyone is. Why Rockstar didn't utilize a series of heist-like setup missions where you'd scout out the perfect places and times to kill them to me is a failed opportunity to flesh things out more. ...However it is satisfying to push Devin into the ocean.

I will always go with Ending C. First, because it is the canonic one. Second, because it allows to do all side quests before the main ones. An third, because it is nice to see the trio giving Devin what he deserved. The other endings just exist to show the players why Franklin is the real main protagonist, but I do them after to get the gold rank.

I'm not the biggest Trevor fan either, but at least he didn't sell his friends down the river and LARP as some badass who made it. Niko would've described him (Michael) similarly to Ray; a rat doing an impression of a man. It goes back to the bitterness of it all tying the story together, Franklin was part of his redemption arc, and all he did was create a mirror image of his rotten self that turns on him in the end.

I think Ending A made most sense. As per se, they focused more on interference from the FIB, and neither Michael nor Franklin seemed to fully trust having Trevor around.
