f*ck yeah!  I was just thinking yesterday about how they should make Slime Rancher 2!

MS/Beth show tagline should be:

"If you are subbed to Games Pass, you're gonna have a lot of fun in 2022"

Very strong conference for Games Pass so far to say the least lol.

I’m more excited for that “Play it day 1 on Xbox Game Pass” than the “Xbox Console Exclusive” tag.

Forza Horizon 5 yea baby. Straight to my most hyped game of the year list.

No opinions on Redfall, CG trailers do nothing for me these days if I don't know what the gameplay is, that said I do love Arkane's style, so I'll be keeping an eye out for it and I mean it's on GP so I'll play it lol. But, Battlefield looked bonkers fun and Forza Horizon 5 looks absolutely amazing and both are this year. Couple that with The Ascent and Halo and I'ma be having some fun later this year, three of the four are on Games Pass too. Plus, loads of Games Pass announcements like Slime Rancher 2, Atomic Heart and loads more, great conference for Games Pass users overall really.

Overall a pretty good conference, nothing special or groundbreaking, it's no all time great, but the format was good and there were a few good announcements. Best conference of the bunch so far by a mile, but that's not saying much this year.

Does seem like co-op and in particularly co-op shooters are back in vogue though, seeing a lot of them lately.

Outer Worlds 2 trailer was the highlight of this Microsoft/E3 show. It just did not give a sh*t.

It's a timed PS5 exclusive remember lol. It'll come eventually to Xbox/PC Games Pass I imagine though.

Extraction is 60 euros.

They can kindly get f*cked.

a Chuck Kojima post.

Ehh shouldn’t be that surprising they’ve been slowly raising prices over the years I wouldn’t be surprised in 10 years or so if some games retail for $100 or more

its gonna be happening apparently- https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.kotaku.com.au/2020/09/some-ps5-games-will-cost-us70-96/amp/

Man I so wish they just said f*ck it and added cops to Horizon. The games are pretty damn good but I need those damn cops to make me feel that pressure in racing games and NFS has been sh*t for a long time. Dunno maybe they'll do it one day.

Good show overall. Pretty safe and nothing mind blowing. But hey at least the f*cking showed up and actually showcased a bunch of stuff.

Forgot it was on but I just caught that they finally announced the Guardians of the Galaxy game and it's this year, to my surprise. Single player only, choice base dialogue, looked good.

Battlefield, Guardians, Horizon 5, Halo.... Been a while since I've had this many games I want dropping around the same time, I'm looking forward to it.

The Square Enix conference was horrendous. So tone deaf with no console versions of the FF remasters.

Guardians looked okay and that was about it.

Microsoft did well I think. I give them a B. FH5 actually might be game of show for me so far.

Hopefully Nintendo doesn't f*ck up the 35th anniversary of Zelda.

Xbox conference was good but watching the conference makes me disappointed Sony didn't have one. Sony at E3 has always been memorable, shame they don't get along.

That's cause sony has a stick up their ass and think they're better than everyone, so they don't need to attend.

Sony also don't have much to show that they've not already shown, their big hitters are all in early-mid development except Horizon (which is probably gonna get delayed into 2022) and God of War, which is probably late 2022 at the earliest. That said, I don't know if I expect them to appear at E3 again in future either. They seem happy with the odd PlayStation direct (or w/e they call it) they do these days.

Phil Spencer likes putting on a show for everyone, and they can easily pad out shows even if their 1st party slate is bare (which it is, due to being in the same boat as Sony^) with Games Pass announcements. Meanwhile at Sony everytime Jim Ryan opens his mouth he says some dumb sh*t, so they're probably happy to keep him far away from a livestream these days.

I wouldn't be surprised if Sony was just waiting to see what M$ will show.

My personal highlights so far...

I never thought I wanted a open world Avatar game until now, even though there's a high chance for it to be a Far Cry reskin I hope its something more ambitious.

Very surprised this is a story driven single player experience and not gaas or co op like The Avengers.

They don't have to be. E3 is way past its prime.

No it's not. lol Last year showed exactly why E3 is needed.

They opened it to the public in '17 and had the biggest showing (68,400) since 2005 (70,000), until 2018 had the biggest showing- 69,200. Then Sony decided Nah, in '19

'18 Twitch had the most concurrent viewers tune into E3, then '19 beat that.

So ya, Sony just has a stick up their ass.

E3 needs Sony. Sony doesn't need E3.

I know we didn't see anything for Contraband but I'm really like the idea of it; a 70's set, open-world co-op game set in a smugglers paradise. As much as a I like my future sci-fi and fantasy and whatnot, it's good to play a game more grounded in reality (assuming it's not going to be supernatural or anything).

If it's open world I hope it's similar to GTA. Imagine Microsoft having an exclusive GTA like game bruh...

Sony has a lot of open worlds but they are all sci fi/ zombies/ fantasy etc. I'm tired of those they need a grounded GTA clone exclusive. If Microsoft releases one first I'll be jealous.

Yeah Sony have been great at making open-worlds so you've been plush over there for that..but they're not GTA style as you said. I would love if Contraband filled that gap that people look for a in a period-piece GTA. Heck, I'm waiting for anyone to come a long and offer a new GTA-style experience as I hate relying one developer (Rockstar) for my open-world city-based type crime games.

It's being made by Avalanche and the only indication we have for their open worlds is Just Cause. I like the Just Cause series, even though I think the maps and things to do is quantity and size over quality. However, I could see them making a smaller map with more quality missions. We know Avalanche can make beautiful maps and environments. Flying in their games is big thing. So, I hope this game incorporates land, sea and air vehicles. Wouldn't mind a bit of stealth thrown in too.  I'm also excited about the co-op element.

If they do this you'll have to come back to Xbox. 😛

That would be the Mafia series, if Take Two ever stopped screwing it up everytime.

I know but that series is so infrequent too. We could do with a few developers competing in that space, IMO. Cause when Rockstar or Hanger 13/2K screw up, what do we have then? :D

Xbox Extended Showcase coming in Thursday 17th

The Xbox Games Showcase: Extended will be taking place later this week.

Announced shortly after the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase during E3 2021, The Xbox Games Showcase: Extended will be happening on June 17 at 10am PT / 6pm BST and will be hosted by Parris Lilly who will be speaking with a number of studios about their upcoming titles.

Lilly confirms that we can expect to see Double Fine, Obsidian Entertainment, Ninja Theory, Rare, and more in what he describes as "extended conversations," so we'll no doubt hear some more developer insight into some of the titles announced during the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, as well as those that didn't appear on the main stage.

Of course we didn't hear anything of Hellbade 2, Fable 4, Perfect Dark. Not sure we'll hear anything about Fable 4 or Perfect Dark but certainly they'll update us about Hellblade 2.

Space Cowboy

Finally some news. I am a bit surprised they still don't have the name figured out lol. I expected to see a lot more of this game, but seeing that it doesn't release anytime soon, it's understandable.
