vice-playa Posted May 18, 2003 Share Posted May 18, 2003 I can swim in vice city 1st of all download this trainer, run the inf' health on it, then go to a place like the ones in my pics and jump into the water and press forword, he slowley dives in depth but swims forword. he only moves forwords not side to side. I knew it was possable and I made it happen. if you'r wondering about the other guy thats one of my gaurds, i donwloaded a 100% savegame. However, and I'm not claiming to be an expert on this or anything, but from the red outlines he's drawn, the bits that look fake are zoomed in sections of the shot, done so in order to help you see the effect better. He can operate every weapon known to man. He can leap off of skyscrapers and live. But swim? No, that would be too far-fetched to even imagine having that ability. Even if you used a cheat so you dont take damage you still cant swim cause once in the water Tommys automatilcy told by coding in the game to do the drowning animation, which in turn makes it impossiable to move around. Even when tommy has stopped drowning and sunk you still cant move around so please dont be a dick and tell people crap, and honestley why the F**k would you want to go swimming in VC when killing and running people over is more fun. For what its worth, vice-playa, I think those screenshots you posted are indeed genuine. As I mentioned in my post above, as I see it the grey squares which everyone else immediately jumped on seem to just be "zoomed in" sections of the main shot, but correct me if I'm wrong. The often-childish attitude of a lot of people on here has put me off posting altogether, I only tend to lurk. I daresay a few hundred members are turned away every month because they join, post a message asking a simple question, and are immediately flamed to death and jumped on. It ain't nice. I haven't been here since I finished GTA3 which was back in September-ish last year, and that's precisely why I left. The unfortunate fact is that the majority of GTA players, from GTA1 all the way thru to VC, are younger than 16. Kinda odd when you consider the nature of the game, and the age certificate it's been given, but it's true nonetheless. Not that I have anything against teenagers in general, but a huge number of those who frequent these forums seem to need a lesson in the fundaments of human communication. Problem being, most seem unaware that it helps to have some experience of this World of ours before preaching, and when they do preach, it's invariably of the Beavis & Butthead variety, something that easily grates on those with an IQ greater than their shoesize. Also, I gather from most threads here, that it helps to be l33t, and not a n00b, yet they still don't realise that they themselves were "n00b"s at one point. *reaches for flameproof suit* K. Mr I-can-swim never said there was animations. He said he can move forward under water. "Everyone knows you can't swim" is about as intelligent an argument as "Everyone knows a speed higher than 30 miles per hour would kill a human", which some people said when the first high speed steam locomotives were about to be developed in the beginning of the 19th century. After all, everyone also knew that there was absolutely no network code in GTA3, making it impossible to develop a multiplayer mod. Why would he be lying? Have any of you lot even tried it? He doesn't mean that he actually swims (ie makes the movements of swimming), only that he is able to move around in the water (though as he has said, only forward). Stop being asses. Only problem is that the camera does not follow you and you just see Tommy run out 2 sea....never 2 return. I'de like to see those sshots 4 myself if possable...
