Vic is an underrated protagonist

I don't get why Vic doesn't get his props in the game. He's not only badass and can hold his own in a battle, he also cares about his friends and family and feels just as human as CJ and Niko. I think Vic deserves his props for his personality and his badassery. It's a shame what we know would happen to him later on chronologically.

He's also the worst offender for Ludonarrative Dissonance in the series.

while VCS is heavily underrated in general, I think Vic is the biggest victim of that. as you said, he has a vibe of an actual person with emotions and a backstory that you actually care about. comparing to i.e. V, where the backstory even got it's own mission but tbh I never gave a sh*t about it

He's definitely under rated. But I willing to bet that's because GTA: Vice City Stories isn't available on PC or any of the more modern platforms. The whole game is under rated, and that's an understatement.
