guerilla_man
Hey all. I thought I would discuss this topic here. I have been Jogging for a very long time now. still after 3 years of Jogging on and off ,I decided to keep my heart and mind determined to Keep Jogging. I have been Jogging every 2-3 days for over a month now and Lost heaps of weight. I used to weigh 118-120 kilograms overweight and now I am down to 116.4 kilograms weight. I have been recording my Jogs constantly every time I Jog to keep records in my phone. This is not the first time I committed this long to running or Jogging. But in the past I had troubles with keeping myself motivated and stopped for a few weeks or a couple of months. But I always intend to re commit myself. I know in my heart and soul and mind I have what it takes to commit my Jogging Journey completely without stopping at all. It is a motivation mind thing and it does not work straight away! It takes time. Some people do not have it physically or mentally to keep running due to body injuries or mental burn outs lack of motivation For Jogging is not easy when you actually have to keep on doing it all the time every week. Some people talk about keeping fit but the don't pull through . they Jog for 2 weeks and stop and I understand Jogging can be painful for them but they can commit. I have not talked about keeping fit . I Just do It! and talk about it when I make loads of progress. I been Jogging now every week for 7 weeks non stop. I also been Jogging heaps of weeks last year in October. I want to become a marathon runner But need to train hard for the distance keeping. I never get puffed out as I jog for 32 minutes each day and scheduled Jog is 3.62 Km's. I want to extend that when I lose more weight actually doing it and become involved with marathon Jogging when I can Jog slowly long distances. What are your thoughts on this? Do you think or feel you have what it takes? let me know your thoughts here. have you been involved in marathon running at all? Original Light
I've taken an interest in jogging in the past year, as well as intense speed running (sprints over short distances). Slow, longer distance runs help my short distance bursts. To run longer distances, I lower my running pace and focus on breath control. I'm in the U.S., so obviously we have different measurement standards, but my 1.5 mile time is 11:00 flat. My 300 meter dash is 57 seconds (something I'd like to lower to 55 seconds or less). I'll do a relaxing 3.15 mile run (about the distance of a 5K run) in about 27 minutes. I can't picture myself doing a 1-2 hour run. guerilla_man 1 Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/970933-marathon-jogging/#findComment-1071527313 Share on other sites

I have an oxygen level of 97:02 Oxygen levels. Oxygen levels calculation means how much oxygen is running in your red blood cells. My shoes are Asics brand. I am actually getting new runners real soon! take it easy on the pace . I Just go slow Jogging. Candy_Licker
I go running/jogging once per week currently for my heart since the Pandemic started as replacement for football ("soccer") I don't run to lose weight, actually I try to put on weight and focus on strength training (well, with limited success without gym/professional coaching) and the nutrition part is really tough for me. I never ran a Marathon - I don't see the benefits - way too taxing for my hormone level, caloric balance and joints. I always go for medium distances (usually 8 - 10 km). My average time on my favourite route (8,5 km = ~5,2 miles) is 35 - 40 minutes. guerilla_man 1 Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/970933-marathon-jogging/#findComment-1071527640 Share on other sites
guerilla_man
I am actually thinking twice about a marathon. is you need to be extremely fit to do it. You are better to get checked by the doctor or GP if your heart is okay with it no matter how fit you are. Many people no matter how fit or many minutes or hours they run . can be very dangerous on the heart because marathons are so strenuous. I would not recommend people with certain heart conditions to train in a Marathon and get checked out with or without them knowing about it. Never over exercise as it can be very dangerous for the heart .
