Recommended Posts

- Visual changes to Doherty garage as the story progressed

- Being able to customise own houses

- Climbing ladders, yes

- Being able to sit on a bench/on grass

- Being able to "camp", whatever that is: pitch up tent extension to Camper, light fire etc

- Being able to enter Camper (there's a mod for that), Tram (there's also a mod for that) and Toreno's house rooms

- Radio stations should have clearly recognisable offices

- Remove the solid hedge in the middle of LS

- Have an exit from the motorway into Montgomery

Being able to... climb ladders (how original of me :P)
Being able to sit down on chairs/benches/doorsteps/etc

Being able to ride taxis and buses as passenger
Peds being slightly more intelligent (being able to navigate the enviromet better and climb walls/obstacles at least)
Being able to fire other weapon types on vehicles, besides the sub machine gun types

Official General

* Buy and sell drugs

* Rob stores like in Vice City

* Rob security vans

* Customizable safehouses like in Saints Row

* More variety of pistols, not just a Colt M1911

* Street name signs

* Train stations and trains connecting the countryside towns to the 3 cities

* Random, various aircraft traffic in the skies, not the scripted stuff that shows just two planes

* Farm animals in the countryside, wild animals in the remote wilderness areas and more kinds of marine life like sharks

All of these details I now have in my game using mods anyway.

There are sharks in this game, but the chances of them to appear are goddamn low.

After endless hours of looking, I sure did not see any, so I used mods.

The burnt enemies should leave charred remains so no one can resurrect them.

Well, no wonder you didn't see them. The odds of being able to see a shark are lower than Luke Skywalker's famous proton torpedo of hitting the Death Star's thermal exhaust port.

Actually, you can check the shark files in gta3.img, and that's a proof that sharks were intended to appear in the game, at least in beta. I'm not that expert at scripting to see what makes the sharks spawn.

Bro, I know the shark is supposed to exist in the game and that it rarely ever spawns. I know this already. All I'm saying is that I have no time for that, so I used mods. Hope that clears it up.

This is quite a great idea and there are prerequisites for this in the game files. such as the names of unused markers for entering the interior with a name that begins with FURN... text. And also there is an unused line in the character statistics, which would show the amount of money spent on furniture

Being able to behead the corpses and exploding the pedestrians the Half-Life way.

Hawaiian Shirt

Be able to crawl and get in the prone position. It would be so useful for gunfights and stealth purposes. I hope VI has it.

More natural ambient sounds, especially in the countryside/wilderness; crickets, frogs, owls, insects and so on.

One thing I did notice during a recent playthrough is that you still earn a wanted level for killing somebody the police are pursuing, whether it's intentional or not. I might be remembering this wrong, but this wasn't the case in older games. If you spot somebody being chased by the long dick of the law and you gun them down, you still earn a star much in the same way you would for mowing down an old lady in the street. It doesn't add a great deal, but it would have been a nice touch. It still annoys me that you earn wanted stars during vigilante but I understand why at least - you're taking the law into your own hands, not actively working with the police, so it makes sense that you'd attract attention regardless of how severe the crime was. Call me old fashioned, but I'd like it if the police felt like I was doing them a favour every now and again.
