So recently I re installed GTA 5 and was using a *Single Player* mod menu, I went to load online and it said I was trying to access GTA 5 with a modified game file. I deleted the GTA 5 folder and un installed and i’m now re installing? Will this be okay or do I further need to remove the mod files? I don’t wanna get banned.

Welcome to the forums.

If memory serves me correct, the only way you can install the Epic Games version is if you install into a completely clear (empty) folder - so you should be fine in the future.
Crucially, you want to make sure the "dinput8.dll" file isn't in your game directory as that's the injector used for most single player mods.

Since you already started the re-install (easier solution would've been to manually delete the gta5 folder after uninstall) theres several tools that should help with this scenario, i have not tested this specific tool but im fairly sure it will do exactly what you need: https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/gta-v-mod-remove-tool

The above tool (and most like it) simply scans your gta5 install directory for any files that shouldn't be there or that have a different filesize then they should, those are most likely the same files that mean you're not allowed to play online, then you can either choose to delete them or browse to the directory manually to cut-paste those files to a different directory (incase you wanna save the mod for later or something)

IF you can spare the disk-space, i strongly suggest that after you've finished re-installing the game & removing mods, first make sure the game works as intended, then make a copy of the entire game directory, paste it somewhere outside of the Epic directories, then use that copied version for mods and keep your Epic version clean :D
