My personal reasoning for the gunplay being so janky in III and VC is that Claude and Tommy aren't actually that proficient in using firearms.

Claude's appearance in SA shows that he's definitely more into cars than anything else. He can use a gun no problem, but he's not that great when faced head-to-head with large groups of armed enemies. Tommy's lack of finesse with guns stems from his stint in prison. He just became sloppy after not having handled a gun for 15 years.

Well... then how come all the other guys are finessed? CJ is a hood kid. Is it 'cause his gun skill increases?

The amount of states in america is 13 and they use the Betsy Ross Flag

also, sports teams.... i hate everyone of the sports teams in GTA so my head canon are these teams
San Fierro Fighters

Vice City Flames

Liberty City Nudniks

Los Santos Quakers

In the mission Flatline, Jimmy Pegorino tells Niko that ‘he beat Anthony like he did his own son’, and then reveals that his son killed himself and Jimmy saw Anthony as his son afterwards.

I think Jimmy Pegorino’s son committed suicide because he refused to join the ‘family business’ (the Pegorino crime family and its respective criminal activity) and had other aspirations in life, which led to constant physical abuse by Jimmy that made his life unbearable. The fact that Jimmy just says it like it’s nothing that his son killed himself, immediately viewed Anthony (who he also treats terribly) as his new son and that his son’s death is never brought up again (or any details like his name or age being given) makes me think he and his wife (Angie) cared so little about him that he actively made his life hell through (mainly physical) abuse in the hopes he would either reconsider or leave the family.

There are two long-time defunct American car brands named Stills and Crosby in the GTA universe, as a reference to the band Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young because they are two real life long-time defunct classic brands called Nash and Crosley and Crosby could the game's lore version of Crosley, the Nash branded cars could go into the GTA lore brand Zirconium or use the name Stills if Rockstar and/or if GTA modders wanted too.

Jane the recruiter for the Children of the Mountain. from GTA V's Strangers and Freaks, drives a white Albany Washington, a personal gift form Brother Adrian after she give him a huge donation form her mother, a very wealthy but proudly not marred real estate broker (think of the Evelyn Harper character form Two and a Half Men) Jane's mother's name is Jill Ann Waters , and Jill drove a red Obey Tailgater in GTA V's single player story mode 2013 storyline setting.

The gang situation in San Andreas and unseen surrounding areas is a lot more complex in SA. There are Azteca sets outside of LS but they aren't tight with the El Corona boys, they all are largely independent. There are some street gangs we never see in gameplay in Las Venturas and San Fierro as well simply because they weren't relevant to the plot.

Can I make Red Dead related ones here too?

At some point before RDR2 my protagonist of Red Dead Online gets hold of a large fortune of treasure after dealing with some major enemies, having a bounty on his head and not really needing more money, he buries the treasure in Tall Trees in case one day he has a reason to come back for it.

It's the treasure Seth Briars ends up finding

  • Huang's luck with women is so terrible that he hasn't even hugged, let alone held hands with, a woman (relatable amirite?????????)
  • Donald Love went into hiding for 15 years and then came back so he could run for president
  • Claude def f*cked both Misty and Maria
  • IV's multiplayer protagonist is the same person as the GTA Online protagonist
  • Franklin loves anime. During his childhood, he and Lamar would run home from school to catch the newest episodes of Dragon Ball Z
  • The reason Claude is the only protagonist who can't bail out of cars is because he's the only one who wears his damn seatbelt
  • Niko learned some Russian and Italian back when he was working for Bulgarin
  • Toni once got expelled from school for stabbing someone in the eye with a pen, but his ma was good friends with the principal so it got cleared from his record

This literally is what I used to roleplay when I first played GTA Online in 2014.

Most of them are trivia:

  • Trevor's rampages are inside his head
  • Protagonists only found once piece of the collectables (such as spaceship parts, submarine pieces) the rest are gameplay mechanics
  • Tao Cheng went to hospital for burn injury after Ending C
  • Tanisha's doctor husband was cheating on her, that's why he's returned into Franklin. Tanisha is the reason Franklin went into "legit" business in The Contracts update
  • San Andreas is bigger than it portrayed, all those recycled locations for online mission are actually different part of the state
  • The Great Ocean Highway are connected from R* universe of San Diego up to Washington state just like irl
  • GTA Online protagonists are multiple, each businesses and properties are a technically different character each whose allies and enemies at the same time
  • Trevor's dissappearance from Blaine County is caused by he's tired with criminal life and became Yogi, and that's why the Online protagonists able to distribute drugs freely

I was referring to V's trio actually cuz they have dedicated cutscenes for it, some before and after completion.

Damn that's wasn't in my mind lol, i guess so maybe it was Niko's misfires during gunbattle :sadkek:

Miguel was part of Ricardo Diaz's Gang. When Tommy Vercetti killed Diaz, Miguel decided to leave Vice City and went home. Sometime between 1993-1997, Miguel returned to the US with other crew as their leader but he came to Liberty City instead.

Joey Leone told CJ about "The Hardwood Butcher" story so CJ is actually aware of Tommy. The reason why he said "who the f*ck is Tommy?" was....well, 1. His name is not Tommy and 2. He was in a middle of a shootout, he wouldn't be able to remember something that he only heard once lol.

A year after San Andreas,Tommy saw Mad Dogg, CJ, Kent Paul, Maccer, and Rosenberg on TV (doing an interview most likely. Not a live one mind you) and Tommy actually called Kent Paul to ask how was Rosenberg afterward but he told Kent Paul to not let Rosenberg knew that Tommy called him.

Claude and Maria moved to Vice City because obviously they needed to get out of Liberty City and they go to Vice City because of Ray Machowski. They learned Tommy as the drug lord ruling the city.

Fun fact: GTA Vice City was once just a DLC for GTA 3 and the tunnels north of Shoreside Vale that lead to Upstate Liberty would open up and lead the player to Vice City after installing the DLC.

That would make zero sense for it to be not only driving distance, but also north of Liberty city. I know vice city was originally planned as more of an expansion but are you sure they were planning on doing that with the tunnel?

The source code leaks found in The Definitive Edition have internal comments left in them from R* themselves that label the upstate tunnels as "tunnels to Miami".

Not 100% my headcanon but a theory, what if the events of the 3D Universe happened in the HD versions of LC/LS/VC but all of the protagonists died at an early point in their story?

Maybe CJ was killed before making it to San Fierro and Sweet was killed by the Ballas in prison, which is why Grove Street was taken over by the Ballas. Maybe CRASH took care of Big Smoke and Ryder themselves and betrayed them.

Maybe Claude was killed by Catalina, and Tommy Vercetti was killed in the ambush.

It’s interesting to think that all these characters existed but they all died at some point before 2008.

Not sure if anyone responded to this, but I think there's some weight to this portion of the theory. In one of the Short Trip missions in GTAOnline, Franklin and Lamar are tasked to burn down some weed, while doing so Franklin says "this is just like that sh*t that went down in Flint County back in the day".

I like to think the theory is plausible, it sounds cool.

Ray Boccino's age is 42, not 32. Him being 32 is just a typing mistake from the LCPD xD

Luigi Goterelli is one of the Leones that did a robbery during the "Smash and Grab" mission in LCS. Sal thought Luigi might not be the best gunman but he always knew Luigi is a smart guy with money and stuff, that's why Sal asked him to run the Luigi's Sex Club 7.

Despite having an asthma, Pete Vance was actually part of the Vance Crime Family in 1985-1986 as the accountant/office guy of sort. He learned Tommy killed Lance and did try to get a revenge by going to the Vercetti Estate but got killed by Mike (Mike did something well for once).

Roman's taxis came from the GTA universes version of the early 1980's business deal that GM had with Saddam Hussein with 12,500 Terrible Chevy Malibus, that they sold to him. That's why Roman can afford them so cheap, when he started his cab business in the early 2000's with his gambling winnings.

I'm not sure if this headcanon makes a lot of sense, but I always thought Donald Love had moved to East Asia after the events of LCS, where he developed an interest in Chinese and Japanese cultures while also meeting the Old Oriental Gentleman, who may have contributed to Donald changing from flamboyant to a more stoic and composed individual that we see in III. This, in my opinion at least, would be in-universe explanation as to why Love Media rooftop has a Japanese-themed garden and why Donald seemed to have familiarity with the Oriental Gentlemen, referring to him as "friend". Plus, there is a line of dialogue on Chatterbox FM about Love Media having a new satellite in China.
