IceHeartache
Well i saw it like this, i love some aspects in RDO, is the only western game at the moment that have, amazing graphics, an amazing and alive world, and some roleplay aspects that works "well", i love playing the game and because of that i have high hopes on it, so when you see this game being so neglected, abandoned, and with no new material in months, of course i'm going to complain, if i didn't care about the game why would i bother? I get the point that if you don't like the game, then why don't leave it? and i agree, sometimes i got bored and tired with this game and leave it for a time, but i always end up coming back because overall is still a good game with good potential, and even when people love to complain, we complain because we still have a tiny hope for it to get better... or because we already put time and effort in this game so at least we hope all that time wasn't all wasted, i think the moment the community stops complaining about the online state, and everyone stay in the apathy zone, then in that moment Red Dead Online will be truly death StyxTx, Rockstarsucks33, DarkReign27 and 4 others

STNeish
It's pretty logical, actually. If there's a problem we don't enjoy, we're not going to be DOING that, we're going to come here and talk about it. If there's something going on we DO enjoy, we're not going to come here to talk about it, we're going to be in the game DOING it. So people never come here to talk about things that are working and that they enjoy doing? Using your logic this forum is just a place to complain or talk about things that don't work. DarkReign27
I think it's justified in the Online aspects and a good way for people to vent frustrations that R* overlook from players or straight up ignore. This is a billion dollar company remember, they could make their games better everywhere to have less angered complaints thrown their way but they don't for every financial gain they can find. They tend to ignore the player base, implement hidden changes to nerf progress. They're in the business of making mad money online using the base single player game, it becomes noticeable with skimping on things while making huge profit. These things then make people angry so then they share it with like minded on here I assume. Now players must find their own fun in these massive games they dedicated to even when the companies abandon/change/ignore them over that lengthy time. Most of the people you want to stop playing it to not complain would like these games to get better, there is huge potential with Online for these games but they don't use it. If you don't criticize anywhere or walk away it will get way worse for all games past and present. R* could just look at this forum and see exactly what's wrong with the game for the most part to solve issues, but they just make more while they ignore (That rhymed). Their tech support, the suggestion box that says they're listening but seemingly not using, the fact that RDR2 online is left behind more with repeat mechanics/battle passes because GTAV makes more money. The Gold nerf was a big recent FU when players are losing interest in the game already, which most likely means the companies aren't getting what they want from it but probably unrealistic numbers they want that weren't achievable in the first place... Sadly company defend squads on forums/reviews seem to be increasing trying to defend bad practices. A huge mega corporation does not need to be defended, the whales who blow real life money on in-game currency do that for them every day. Ring Dang Do
I guess OP has never followed a unsuccessful sports team where complaining is 2nd nature yet you still turn up every week and stand in the rain to watch them. Just because you complain/give constructive criticism doesn’t mean that you don’t like the game and want it to not succeed, in fact it’s the opposite. Constructive criticism is one thing , but entitlement and useless b*tching and moaning is different especially in a thread that doesn’t warrant it , I don’t even remember the last time I seen a logical post about speculating what the next DLC will be , I’m surprised this thread isn’t locked it’s so derailed at this point lol

That coupled with R* and their bad customer relations is the reason that people complain and will continue to do so until the company mends their ways or this game fails. We are hoping to see the company step up on their promises, none of us want to see the latter take place. Technically a forum is a place for people to gather in one place to talk about a multitude of discussions all relating to one common topic. As far as the community goes, by comparison this online forum is far from being toxic, lets be fair.
