Legendary animal spawns changing?

Had the Wakapa boar at  Manzanita Post yesterday (only had it at the river crossing near Harriet on the Lower Montana River and in Stillwater Creek before) and the Mud Runner Buck on top of the hill between the T and the H in The (Heartlands) only ever had it spawn south of the railway to Flatneck Station or around Dewberry Creek before.  Also had that damned Ghost Panther spawn where the Cogi Boar should be.

 

Anyone else noticed any different spawn locations that have changed?

Ah, Wakapa is as far as Manzita (one spawn pawprint, there.):

So what you saw was probably a bit more rare, but they can spawn in those areas too.

[No Homing]

I had the Tatanka Bison spawn in the snow, where the Winyan Bison should spawn.

Also had the Red Streak Coyote spawn where the Midnight Paw Coyote should spawn.

I actually needed the Red Streak that time, so that was good for once.

There were other mixed up spawns, but I forgot.

It's quite uncommon, but very annoying if you need a specific LA of a type and you get the wrong one + a 72 hour cooldown on top

If you get the sample or even possibly the pelt or carcass in the wagon and close the game immediately, you can keep the sample and avoid both the cooldowns.  Its very similar to wrecking/getting attacked with your trader delivery wagon.  If the legendary kills you, the cool down seems to kick in.

 

I had the Knight Moose spawn near barren lagoon where the Snowflake spawns. 

 

Side note, I wish the snow melted up in the moutains during summer and snow came back in the winter and extended until Valentine.
