I believe that is saying the game will be released October, State of Play should be much earlier than that, possibly June at the earliest.

Because most likely there are better theories than aliens, why not just some secret spacecraft. Did Michael work for the FIB or Aliens? Its all perspective

Sorry to go off topic but you see a physical object defying the laws of physics and you think there are better theories than aliens? Sure it could be secret technology from our government but think about the repercussions of our government being in possession of technology that can change the entire world and keeping it secret for 70 something years or even longer?

off topic rockstar does take the mick  between the time they announce something and give more info.

but the fact its taken this long to give more info on gta v ps5 version backs up what tez said this wont be a simple port this is a proper remaster.

i would much rather have a new version of gta v then play rdr 2 over and over again until gta 6 comes out.

i like rdr 2 an play it but it becomes tedious riding a horse all day.

Nothing about modern Rockstar/TT suggests they're interested in smaller games just for fun.

And this is terrible thing and it's not just Rockstar/T2 not interested in smaller games but also other big publishers. Back in the early days of gaming it was all about creativity, nowadays it often feels like it's all about money, publishers are really obsessed with this 70$ price tag. I would really love to see what game 50 industry vets would be able to make in 2 years for next-gen consoles.

I was just thinking why doesn't Rockstar work on smaller projects in between the big titles like GTA and RDR. Like they could do smaller expansions like non-numbered GTA's which aren't as full fledged as the big one's. They could also try new IP's. That way the fans do not get frustrated and wait such a long time for the next big thing from Rockstar and Rockstar also can take as much time for their massive, grandeur titles. They have a lot of developers and income so it wouldn't be an issue for them in terms of man power too. I know that the quality of games has increased and Rockstar always does the maximum they can do but I don't think anyone would complain if they released a few smaller titles to bridge the gap between the major titles.

I've been thinking about it lately.

They could do something like that after GTA VI:

- Use the same map (cut the parts that smaller game doesn't need)

- shorter storyline (30-40 missions, that's TLaD & TBoGT combined)

- It wouldn't cost $70 dollars but still more than that and it would make Take 2 and Strauss Z. happy

Sony did something like that with Spider-man: Miles Morales and Uncharted: Lost Legacy. Those games are practically glorified DLCs but they are still great.

Why would they care about tens of millions of $ when they can make billions? Go to T2 and tell them to make game that they will be selling for 9.99$, complete product without any DLC, MTX etc. Meanwhile you have some indie developers like FYQD Studio, where 1 person is able to make this.

I just want big GTA/RDR games, with smaller expansion spin-off games in between. Like Miles Morales to Spider-Man, etc.

If they're bothered to do an open-world, just makes linear games like Max Payne 3/Manhunt series.

The problem with those DLCs is that they are more often than not really overpriced because publishers got really greedy in last 10 years when they noticed, that they can make sh*tload of money on basically nothing and GTA Online is best example of that. Just take a look at TLAD, it offered you new weapons, few new mechanics, new story, new characters, 25 missions and it did cost 20$. That's good price/quality ratio, not 40 or lmao 50$ for DLC. Story DLC like that to GTA V for 20$ would sell like crazy.

Reminder:

"It's possible that games may be a bit shorter than they were in certain instances."
"It's possible that the ability to deliver content on an ongoing basis for a long time after an initial release of a hit would mean that perhaps that initial release wouldn't be as long in terms of number of hours of gameplay as previously had been demanded in a world where that was all you were getting." Straussy

A Kotaku report has claimed that GTA 6, or at least "a new entry in the Grand Theft Auto series," is early in development as of April 2020. Additionally, it suggests that Rockstar's internal plan for the game is to release a slightly smaller game and then expand on it through regular updates. This suggests GTA 6 will build on the success of GTA Online by integrating more live service options.

I am really not sure if those spin offs would be popular. Part of why GTAO is popular is the fact that you can basically get to any content for free which makes it very appealing for the players...though some of them give up the grind and pay for sharkcards and that's how R* keeps making money. A lot of people wouldn't bother with playing if those GTAO expansions were paid.

I am not saying these games would necessarily flop, but it is probably a better idea to either focus on a proper sequel or some kind of new game in a new IP. Or you know Online dlcs lol...

Nowadays there are so many games on the market to the point where many people don't have time to even replay their favorite games, let alone wait for some DLCs. Most people who play singleplayer games are not 12 years old kids, that play GTA Online and if initial release will not be worth of their money then they will not buy it.

From a fan relations perspective (and probably a T2 shareprice-boosting perspective) it would be awesome if R* released a mini game themed on GTA6. Even if it's just ten minutes of gameplay, like the old-school demos from back in the day. If done right it would keep everyone happy for a year or so. It would be a technical challenge to do something like this and not make it a 6GB download, or to absorb vast amounts of studio time, but I'm sure something could be worked out.

Of course it's extremely unlikely to happen, but it's a nice idea. There's no doubt that they have a few other priorities at the moment to say the least.

He's literally complaining, that in game that is set in XIX century you have to "live" like it's XIX century.

edit

If Project Medieval is still in the works (I hope so) then I can't wait to see it just to see people complaining about awfully looking houses
