Relax, RDR3 is not coming until the 2030s.

Presume they get a game out every 5 years, and also presume that that could extend to 6 years. If GTA VI is 2024, then RDR3 is 2029 at the earliest. And who's to say they even make another Red Dead right after GTA VI?

I don’t think rockstar will take anymore risk with previous IPs or even new IP, because why the next game is GTA? Could’ve been max Payne, la noire, bully and so on, that’s  why the next rockstar game should be Red dead after GTA 6.

I'd love to see that return would be a bit difficult as they'd have to get licenses for all the cars and all those old vehicle company execs who approved them are all gone replaced with new people and as soon as they see Rockstar would probably say no but if Need for Speed and other street racing games can get vehicle licenses I could see it working out.

whos to say the next game after gta vi isnt one of those other ip's, or even a new ip? actually, we dont even really know if the next game is even gta vi, since nothing official has been announced. theres a small possibility that rockstars next game isnt gta 6

While we'd all love a new IP from Rockstar or an old one to make a comeback it's been nine years since GTA V came out...NINE YEARS

Makes me wonder if we'll see a Max Payne 3 situation again where a major mainline game and a smaller game will be marketed at the same time.

MP3 was announced first but then GTA V kind of overshadowed it a bit more. The comments back then were already *very* ugly, whereas today it's with GTAO Newswires or RDO bonuses becoming monthly, among other things people seem to hate, back then any kind of Max Payne 3 news was filled with hateful comments and trolling lmao. GTAF and the R* comments section (when they had it) even coined "Max Gayne", everyone got super angry simply because there was no GTAV news and they tweeted and posted about MP3, which, well... was releasing first.

 

I recommend some of the newer members to take a trip down memory lane here to 2012/2013 and you may see how actually similar it is in some ways.  God the massive amount of topics yelling at R* for "bad marketing" or for being "lazy", or that GTA V was "gonna be sh*t" due to no marketing during the droughts.

The debates at R* were between GTA VIce or GTA SEX. It was a tight contest with no official winner.
