Just like all of those other terrible games in the R* repertoire, like... uhh... help me out here...

GTAO

and the past doesn’t necessarily dictate the future. If you told a CDPR fanboy that Cyberpunk would be a steaming pile of sh*t in 2016 they would’ve called you a hater. Time is scary dude

The past doesnt necessarily dictate the future but its a very strong indicator most of the time.

True. My point still stands. The future of the series can go in either direction and it won’t surprise me if it’s great or terrible.

It's weird seeing a R* title with an E rating. f*cking black magic sh*t there.

Huh, nowadays this would have to be an open world game. Some microtransactions would also be implemented, I bet.

I'm actually very worried about the direction of future GTA entries, including GTA VI. With V they made the parody on modern society too much of a focus with the reliance on the in-game phone and internet for almost everything and it also had too much of an influence on its story in my opinion. One of the reasons why I really hope that GTA VI is NOT set in modern day, at least not entirely! I just don't like the in-game phone and in-game internet stuff and the social media references. I'd really welcome a very mature main story again as well. Missions can still be varied! I hope GTA VI is heavily inspired by RDR2, GTA IV, GTA3 or Vice City.

Unfortunately, I think GTA VI might as well never come out. R* is just too preoccupied with GTA Online and Red Dead Online. However, if by some random chance GTA VI actually does come out, I really hope that it draws inspiration from previous R* games such as GTA IV/EFLC, III, VC, LA Noire, both RDR titles, and all three Max Payne titles. Those games really showed the video game company’s good side.

No GTA VI announcement (just for the record, I don't wait any announcement until maybe october this year or in 2022):
-Waiting 2791 days since GTA V launch
-Waiting 926 days since RDR2 launch
-52 days since I started counting

There was a image a few weeks ago that tried to legitimize this leaked map and it was faker than a pair of vinewood tits. And people who uses RDR2 map leak as an argument forget that when that map leaked, it was quickly taken down by Take Two and never leaked or updated again. Its so bullsh*t that I am surprised that some good people in this topic legit believe in the possibility of being real. Chill out people, soon™ we will be discussing the logo and the announcement trailer.

No GTA VI announcement (100 days later lol, time flies):
-Waiting 2891 days since GTA V launch
-Waiting 1026 days since RDR2 launch
-152 days since I started counting

Sad that this topic is dead (for now) but atleast there isn't a fake leaker faking stuff :kekw:

See you guys with this post in 100 days (If I remember)

This doesn't make much sense. GTAVI will make a billion dollars in day one sales and will allow Rockstar to milk another decade of online with GTAO2.

Why not re-release GTA V and milk another decade of online with GTAO1? (oh right that's exactly what they're doing 😆)

I’m in two minds as to whether to try and avoid all GTA VI information, no watching gameplay or reading previews, so when the game arrives I know bugger all about it.

I feel like that'd be an impossible mission :D So many people wanted to do the same here on GTAF for GTA V, no one could.

I'm 100% confident Rockstar is not going to get away with remastering the same product over and over again every console generation. People will eventually get fed up and stop buying their products. I don't know why people keep saying we'll never get another GTA game, some games just take longer to make now.

A lot of people double dipped for GTA 5 and the biggest differences were better graphics and first person mode.  I wouldnt be surprised if GTA 6 released on PS6/Xboxsomething with something like enhanced graphics and VR.

I’m not sure if it would even be possible in today’s world. You’d definitely see the box art, adverts on tv and web, video thumbnails, etc. Should be, though!

All of the other GTA’s I’ve read about or seen before I’ve played them, going back to Vice City. Which had a great website, set in a police station if I remember rightly.

Anyone tried anything similar, did you manage it?

Better start thinking about something like this if you want to avoid all info

I checked their FAQs, and they claim to have good cell signal across the site, allowing an internet connection, so there still might be some risk involved there. :kekw:

Then North Korea maybe? Ages ago I saw a live map of all Playstation Network users globally, and there was just one single user live in NK! A lone pixel in the darkness of the whole country.

question

the hosts of the various GTA radios shows, do they have free reign to choose what songs they want for that station or does Rockstar have final word on that?

I'm pretty sure the DJ's curate the playlists but Rockstar will probably have some input as well.

My guess is that if it's not a Rockstar-created and scripted station then maybe it'll be up to the DJ to some extent, but Rockstar will most likley still provide some direction and will always have final editorial control. Also they need to clear the licensing for all the tracks (unless of course it's music from their own record label).

GTA V on XBOX One/PS4 was a different situation though; by then many people had gotten onto those consoles and GTA V wasn't even a year old, it made sense.

But ugh, another GTA 5 re-release in say, 2028 would be a f*cking nightmare. By then the game will be 15 years old.

The game is 8 years old now and it's going to be "released" again in November. We're already in a nightmare and it seems like a never ending one because GTA V just won't stop selling.

I'll say it again and again: GTA V is the Windows XP of gaming. Hell, given GTAO's security issues, I would go as far as to say GTAO is its Internet Explorer 6.

But come on, even Vista came out less longer than GTA 6.

Lol no. The only way they’ll stop is if idiots stop buying. Which they won’t

I wonder if they count every $60 spent on microtransactions in GTAO as a new copy sold.
