The second one was a miss and I never completed, but I liked the original. I'm not into horror games at all but Manhunt wasn't overly supernatural unlike a lot of them.

I'm only interested in GTA VI if it follows the concept and execution of RDR2 ... means ultra realistic gameplay mechanics, amazing and grounded, serious story, exceptional characters with outstanding acting, varied main missions that make sense for the story and world, interaction system (similar to RDR2's), etc. I don't need another over-the-top, non-identity GTA as is GTAV. RDR2 is an exceptional game and I cannot praise it enough!

I mean there's a very slim chance of that happening, honestly. To an extent the initial reception of GTAIV changed Rockstar's attitude towards GTA. Many San Andreas fans didn't like how different IV was both tonally and design wise and it certainly didn't help IV that SA had more raw content and variety than it. Rockstar even shifted their gears in The Ballad of Gay Tony and then there's the blistering success of V which was them fully reverting back to a more zanny, colorful, over the top tone of the earlier GTA titles.

 

Red Dead Redemption was always more grounded than GTA and Red Dead 2 went even further in that direction and it was successful but that doesn't mean VI will go in that direction considering how V and GTAO is still dominating even after almost 8 years.

Interesting, I specifically hope that GTA 6 is NOT like RDR2. RDR2 of course is a master piece, but I wish all that deep story-ness and heavy cinematic gameplay mechanics stay there, as a part of that ip and GTA is different, not just a "RDR in modern day". RDR2 is so strongly defined by it's story and stories always end, while the thing that I liked about GTAs, at least in 3D era, was their "sandbox" emphasis, so despite finishing the main story, it felt like the game never ends.

I checked out the T2 Investor page after seeing your reminder, and spotted this news release that seems to have flown under the radar a little.

 

Earlier in July, 2K Foundation refurbished a basketball center in Totonto, and got The Weeknd to open it.

 

More than likely it's all a total coincidence of course, a charitable act and one of the celebs they found to open it just happened to be The Weeknd.

 

Or it could be all about NBA and nothing to do with GTA - but it seems like one of those intriguing coincidences, doesn't it?

I am not talking about technology, graphics, etc.
I am talking about engaging story, characters, narrative, soundtrack, acting, last ride.
