Though that leak was back in 2016, things could of changed since then. Like what about that job offering of de-age clothing or whatever it said. I think so, and this guy did his research, everything he says makes sense, from the 2 protagonists thing and modern setting which Tom Henderson said. To the drug smuggling theme from The Know leak. It's like whoever forged it took these credible leaks as their base. It's not too hard to fake a 4chan thread like this when there are people who puts effort to fake a satellite map. But this leaker guy, he knows what he's doing and everything he said makes sense.

    Yeah more modern day stuff means from a not that unlogical perspective,successfully commiting a crime is much more risky and underwhelming thanks to those monitors ,drones and all the technology stuff that literally no one ever interested in,especially common in big wealthy cities areas of USA.Heck I'd say from all the potential gameplay aspects describing this as GTAV 1.5 is totally inaccurate,just straight up GTA Online&Watch Dogs reskin copy pasted-which means it's the biggest flop of all time.I'd take any time from 80s to early 00s rather than today's tiresome sh*tshows.I'd take a proper stage to actually feel it's worthy to engage in the criminal world.I ain't gonna wait for ten years only to find out the virtual world I want to explore is exactly the same stuff all over again as what's happening right now in real life,you do know even if you are gta v haters you can't say Grand Theft Auto V is the most totally ridiculous exaggerated world no one would sink in,why?Cuz what's happening right now is actually much more worse than things in the game.

     As for the leak,I'd say I just choose to believe "not 80s " means it's 90s to early 00s.Personally I very like the idea of mutil protagonists especially if they go for two degenerates this time.You can't keep things that interesting in a huge complex world if it's always about the same person nonstop,no different refreshing interaction perspective and so on.

     I still have faith cuz even if part of these contents were indeed a thing in the 2016 early development version,after all these years you bet some of these "uncertain directions" stuff are being revised for countless times.And yeah rdr2 did had development difficulties in its time,but this ain't mean gta won't find the right directions when something similar happens.Hey,at the end of the day,you did cost Los Santos and Blaine County stucking in the beautiful weather cycle for around ten years after all

Man my hunger for new GTA experiences got to the point I replayed 3, VC, SA, 4, EFLC and even finished the 2D games for the first time this year... I got to say GTA 1 was a more fullfilling experience than cayo perico, I hope we get the VI one day

You can easily avoid that lame high tec stuff, like hacking, by giving the protagonists more humble beginnings and less glamorous non-spy like story. Regular smart phone is the only necessary "high tech" thing to be involved with. I think only the heist like missions ask for hacking and I would assume R* doesnt concentrate on heists again. One problem with the modern times is the internet and how much even the traditional crime works and organizes thru internet.

 

If you start playing as some redneck from florida swamp trailer park, i dont think high technics will be a bore, even when you progress into Vice City

Well considering what the leaker posted about RDR2 back in 2016 I guess you have to take this kinda seriously. The most promising thing I took from that is tone of the game being more mature and less like what we saw in GTA V, thats if the info is legit ofc.

The Know leak happened after this 4chan leak and it had Vice City Drug running from Columbia not cuba which makes more sense and 

80s in it . I personally think we are gonna see 80s and 90s and 2010s . 

Online will build on 2010s with updates it will have flying bikes in no time . 

Also really hope leslie jones isn't an inspiration for any GTA character at least for the looks , Back to the decade building rockstar already had rdr2 story across a big timeline and that was on old gen . Now with new gen consoles they will definitely be able to change that . After you finish the game you unlock a decade swap option like gta 5 character swapping . I really hope modern day isn't a part of the game at all but take two wouldn't alow that . So maybe Rockstar has the Story set in 1970s , 1980s and 1990s when they release online it will be set in Modern day with New vehicles and 3 or 4 new buildings who gives a sh*t about authenticity and realism in Gta online anyways . All they need to add in online are Web browser,  new phones , vehicles and they will be ready to go

I just came from my cave with all the lurking & reading for few months since gonnae troll. 

 

Man.. Im happy we can finally talk something new. Hopefully R* will add another city then only Vice City & a shape of form from Cuba.

 

5 years since 2016 is alot. Alot of plans change.

Columbia would be soo much better than cuba . They can add Medellin , Bogota even Mexico would be great like Guadalajara . Drug smuggling from cuba doesn't make any sense

That would be too much. Everyone already hates how Online with its infamous character phone calls turned out, I seriously hope we won't have to go through the same in VI.

The Know never said it will be set in 80s. Only the leaks that piggybacked on the Project Americas leak said it. They only said it will be in VC and parts of South America with a possible female protagonist.

Personally I think modern day makes sense if they want to merge it with the existing GTAO is some capacity although I'd take a 70s, 80s or even 90s GTA over it in a heartbeat.

The know said that the source didn't mention the time or decade so 80s is still possible.  The biggest thing from the The Know leak is that Gta Vi would revolve around the drug smuggling from Vice city to South America
