AngryHulk
I know the max take is just over 5M but I did this with 3 guys last night and my bag only carried 430k. So how do 4 guys get 5M out of the island?

So how do 4 guys get 5M out of the island? The 'potential' is a myth. It's not what is potentially taken as there is a limit as to how much you can fit into your secondary loot bags. Most I've managed as a 4-player was this during the 50% bonus week: And doing it solo was this, also during 50% bonus week: Tez2 and Rotorhead359
Sam2150AD
My understanding is the 'potential' is the total of all primary and secondary loots on the island. (Discovered or not) The 'actual' is obv what you were able to get off the island. Someone on the forum has already done the math here but esentially it is not possible for a full team to take everything off the island. I would calculate with 1.5 mio alone plus 0.5 mio per each further player, but that would be quite optimistic and close to the optimum, 1.3 plus 0.4 per each further player rather the lower end (taken for granted that all fill theirs bags which still is optimistic). I think the best cut per player is with 2 players, since the gold might not be enough for 4 players and more than 2 likely mess up everything anyways. Mutsor Tima
If going solo on the very first playthrough of the Cayo Perico Heist finale... Madrazo Files: $1,100,000 Stealing only cocaine as secondary loot (assuming you don't try the gold door glitch): $441,000-$450,000 Cash from the vault inside El Rubio's office: $50,000-$99,000 Completing the Elite Challenge: $50,000 That would be worth up to $1,641,000-$1,699,000, assuming you don't take any damage on the way out. Sam2150AD
I don't think people should rely too much on the solo gold door glitch as I imagine this will eventually be patched. But on the other hand, by all means go for it. Taking gold myself with a second player I noticed while gold is worth more, it's not a 'huge' amount more. As with all heists though, I would advise people to watch run throughs on YouTube before attempting so you're not getting confused or anything. If you swim away from CP after exiting the compound, you shouldn't really be taking any damage. Rotorhead359
Gridl0k
$1.43m primary 6 gold at max value = 6 * 332,184 = $1.993m Max safe = $99k So $3.522m At 15% Host $1.93m Others $528k Add 100k for an easy elite too I always f*ck up maths posts so correction welcome Edited April 12, 2021 by Gridl0k Rotorhead359 and SummerFreeze
LostReacher
I noticed in some guides there are treasure chests when scoping the izland. Was that a one time event or can you out them in your lootbag too?

Each day they will be in different locations, with, as far as I know, one always being in the water. You hear a jangling sound when you're close to them. No, you cannot put then in your loot bag. Cahill--EFC
I wonder...... can we actually just go all over the island, taking the secondary loot. Then just swim away from the island? Edited April 25, 2021 by Cahill--EFC

The Cayo Heist has already broken the in-game economy as it is. Start increasing the size of loot bags on top of that, so players can earn even more money? No. I would not only not support it, I think that Rockstar already has a big problem with the GTAO economy because of this heist. Before Cayo, it was all grind loops and desperately hoping you had good GTAO friends or randos that know their @sses from a hole in the ground to make good heist money. When you consider that an experienced player who has done a bunch of Finales on Cayo can make solo between $1.4 Million and 1.8%, with no weekly specials, and assuming you get the Elite every time, you can make obscene amounts of money really fast if you own a Sub and a few upgrades. Now add to that the fact that from beginning to end, you can streamline the process from Scoping through the Finale to get an overall time of sub-60 minutes, grinders can already make a fortune from Cayo heists. By the way, that isn't even counting what a lot of grinders do with Cayo, which is pay randoms 15% while taking 85%, which is even more money to the host. Nope. I would argue that the Cayo Heist already pays too much money and this is going to hurt the future of the game if Rockstar doesn't find a way to mitigate the damage to the in-game economy, particularly with the E&E Edition coming soon. I'm sure there's higher numbers around, but as an example - my SC says I've spent $1.4bn in GTAO. Even if $400m of that is services and ammo and whatnot it still suggests you'd need to go to Cayo a lot to really flex your wallet. And most players aren't us, they might do 1 or 2 a week, if that. I understand that most players aren't grinders like us, and that's a good point. But even if people buying a Kosatka are only doing a couple of heists a week, assuming they are also selling bunker and night club goods regularly, that can still amount to almost $20 million a week. Assuming one full Bunker sale every day, one night club sale every day, and even just doing 2-3 Cayo Heists a week. That may sound like a lot, but it's hardly grinding. At least not in the sense that all those endless grind-loops are anyway. Before Cayo, aside from the whole AFK/Solo passive easy money you could make with little effort, it was all endless VIP, MC Sales, Casino(needing other people), Import-Export, various cargo loops.
