What do you guys think, should we keep our Cayo heist in non-started or non-scoped state before future tunables to get the guaranteed panther statue, or it won't matter, when the time will come, the next heist will roll it for us? (So it will be nearly impossible to miss it, unless we cancel it?)
 

Can't remember how it worked with the guaranteed casino diamonds.

Heist data only gets set when you pay for the setup - and usually changes every time you pay for it.

Every Wednesday night or Thursday morning I've made sure I've had a finale ready. That way, if the Panther Statue gets released I can complete the heist quickly then it will be ready to have in Hard mode for max payout. If you're good enough, you can scope out then cancel 4 times to try and get the Primary target you need before it will turn to normal mode.

Anyway, it totally sucks that they've had the Panther Statue in all of their trailers for the CP heist and yet we are now in month FIVE without it since the heist came out.

This happend last week, tried to talk about it in another thread but got pretty much ignored, so i'll try again here.

 

Honestly im a bit worried & still undecided if i should report this because i did make some nice money from it (2mil+) but having that award (for all primary targets) worries & bothers me.... dont want trouble with my account that's older then half the playerbase

Happened on pc with an obvious cheater as host, heist had 14mil+ of secondary targets too, these people...  

 

Any other pc users run into the same issue? if so what did you do? if not i'm still interested to hear what you would do, because i cant decide, the sensible person in me goes 'report it fool you dont need the money' but the non sensible person goes 'lol you already spent it & its not like they care about other heist glitches either', that said i can obviously just make some more money so that they can take away the received amount. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm  any advice welcome!!!

The trouble with the panther is, it's got to be worth a serious amount of wedge or it will only be as valuable as the other targets when they put them on bonus money a while ago. It's like the diamonds at the casino, pretty much pointless and only just worth more than the others and slow as hell to grab. Hardly a big wow. I'm in the camp that only wants the panther to knock the achievement off the list.

I've collected that Panther Statue at least half a dozen times. I wouldn't worry too much about it. R* employees would have to be pretty damn bored to manually check players award lists looking for people that have a certain one just so they can punish them for something they may have not had any control over.

 

Besides, most players have made so much money from this heist WITHOUT the PS that I doubt it really matters.  One menu sets you up with a statue while leaving out any secondary loot so you make less anyways.

I'm sure it just takes a few button presses on a computer to filter out who has the award. Probably takes no more than 10 seconds. 

 

I hope they do something to the people who have hosted the heist with the Panther as it's basically cheating and getting an unfair advantage over others.

Well, I would have quit and blocked them as soon as I saw they were cheating. I can't think of any advice other than hope you don't get caught and that the panther will be available for non-cheaters soon.

At this point my advice comes too late, since you already have the achievement. Yes, it is very easy to check for Rockstar who has which achievement.

You should have quit the heist to avoid getting that achievement, but since you have it now, don't bother quitting in the future.

It doesn't matter if you got the Panther statue once or 100 times. I doubt Rockstar can even check that.

I would keep it, and avoid playing with the host or whomever made it glitch in the future. As I don't like sh*t like that. It's not like R* can assume players can know that there's a panther statue that should not be collectable. Sure, most people who read these kinds of forums know, but it's not something R* can assume. I'd imagine cheaters/modders who make it appear would be their targets if any, not poor fools who have participated in the heist.

It makes you think what R* are waiting for. We've had the new year, Easter and nothing. Diamonds are once again available at the casino, would've been cool to be able to have the option of going for them and the Panther.

The panther obviously exists as when it has been collected from modders, the statue gives a value like it has been programmed to. 

It would also be cool if the items could also be displayed in the Kosatka as 'trophies' after stealing each variation, you know like you got little models of things in the Facility after completing DDH finales.

If they are planning to release it only for PS5/XBoxOne when they do whatever it is they're doing with GTA Online in the second half of the year then it would be pretty disgraceful, especially considering only about 20 people on the planet actually have one with the rest of us still waiting for stock and using PS4/XBox

maybe it will only be available on the anniversary of cayo perico's release who knows?

I guess their plan was to make it available at a time when player numbers are down. In the last couple of years without spring DLC that would be May/June.

I think Take Two's next investor call is on May 18th. My guess is that Rockstar will release the Panther on the previous Thursday, May 13th, so they can talk about how player numbers are up during the call.

You missed my point. But, to be fair to you, if history teaches us anything that is probably because I did a poor job of explaining myself.

 

It will probably only be a one or two time thing, and if you are grinding then who cares what one haul gets you when you are making 15 mil a day? That is why I don't see the fuss over it apart from notching off the achievement.

 

And that's why I dont care if I get the SInsimito, because next time I'll get the Pink Diamond. And my point about the Diamonds was with 2 people it was so slow to grab, it was barely worth the effort over taking artwork and setting up another one.

 

Vault contents shouldnt be seen as a single thing was my point. Yes, when doing that they appear attractive. And if you are doing one heist then of course it's preferable. But when you grind and then retire for a while, as I do, it's all just loot. Some good, some meh. Doesn't really rate the publicity it's getting in that context, nor the diamonds.

Well put, although for me, it is all about notching off the Platinum award as I have all the other heist related ones*.

 

And as for Panther time, it's about God damn time!

AFAIK you get the panther precisely once, only, ever. Or at least that's how the tunabowls are setup now.
