Game makes monitor go black when launching with OpenIV

So it just recently became an issue, that I am sure does not come from a new update (since I use older versions of the game and do not update), but what happens is when I launch the game with OpenIV, my monitor goes completely black and says no input is detected and goes to sleep. When I alt-tab, the video picks back up, but i cant have the game focused, or it doesn't register. Is this a DisplayPort thing? Since I just got a new monitor that uses displayport instead of HDMI. This is probably not the answer, however, since I have played with OpenIV before on this monitor. If anyone can assist me with this issue, as I have no clue what to do to even start troubleshooting this. I am also sure the mods I installed aren't whats causing the issue, since It also blacks out the montitor when I try and view the ASI manager in OpenIV.
