What is the best approach for grinding the Cayo Perico Heist?

You should be able to keep stealth without it, escape through the main gate is also relatively easy, you only have to take out one or two guards, made a video about the entry, don't wonder about the hatchet, it's a bug, sometimes I get the hatchet instead of the machete:

The only reasonable place would be one at the guard tower near the radio tower, if you make it undetected from the compound to one of the docks or the airfield you likely won't need it any longer.

You can ride the bike right to the 2 locations north of the Main dock using the hillside, where there's a good chance of finding one too. Neither location is overlooked.

the disruption missions and cutting powder are like training wheels when you start out and the alarm goes off & you don't know why then you're just dying constantly, you take any edge you can get

i used to do the armor and air support disruptions every single heist (i still do the cutting powder most times)

forget the elite challenge i was just happy to get in and out alive even if it took 25 minutes then gradually 25 becomes 20, then 16 then one magic day 14.49 now it's 12-13 minutes constantly

This is how it was with my group. Gradually we cut our time from 25 to 17 regularly. We were happy to just finish at first, then were happy to be able to do it without alerting the guards at all. Then we took a look at what we were doing, how to do it better, and paid attention to trying to do things quickly. Now we're pretty regularly under 14 minutes. Even had a best at around 11 minutes.

Your next goal should be a 3-player in 4:51 :D

How do you keep a stock of rebreathers?

You can buy them at Ammu-Nation at the small display stand in the center of the store.

On PC press G to equip one while underwater; I dunno on console.

On Xbox it's in the interactive menu under styles/accessories/gear I believe. It's where you find the night vision googles.

I've done all the preps solo in under 18 minutes...

The Longfin prep can be done in 4:30 because non-noob players call in their Phantom Wedge.

If you think the time difference is minimal then you really need to work on getting the preps done better.

I made a guide that may help.

This and GTAseries helps me a lot, even though i'm done in 15 mins slower, the most helpful tips is the escape route, cuts off lots amount of stress and time, this really helps a lot 👍

Do you guys think the kosatka setup is faster? The sub can fast tracel very close the setup area and once you learn the sonar and guard spawns, it can be done fairly fast.

Super Grunt 281

The enemies in the submarine can move, when I went down the ladder I found one guy at each doorway leading to the engine room, sometimes there is one directly covering the ladder or within seconds to do so (hope you don't roll) .

The cook doesn't move sometimes or there is only one dude at the bridge or even 3.

One day I had a guy next to the desk by the cell before the torpedo room.

And my favourite : the one shooting through the floor in the corridor with all those pipes, this was actually the guard in the same room but one level below.

Drainage tunnel works best for me.

Infiltrate, kill "red" guard at the bottom floor, get his key, open tunnel underneath the compound to skip office, grab loot.

Escape compound through main entrance, kill guard and grab bike, drive straight across the woodlands, following the wall to the left until hitting water. At this point the boats travel close enough to easily lock-on to and kill the driver. Hijack the boat. Either just drive out to sea to escape or follow the shoreline to the east dock. Loot the... loot and use the same boat to escape to sea.

Quick, easy and profitable.

Another 30s and 2 kills and you could clean out the safe every time too, that sh*t adds up. Still use the tunnel key though.

But you only need it while underwater. 😉

(unless the host decides to use NVGs, then you're f*cked if you can't hold your breath)
