Type in "/" during the mission and the clock will stop, giving you as much time as you need to finish the mission. Just watch out for the constryuction guys and the security guards. I use ASDF for left, back, forward, and right. BUT you cant remap the controls for the chopper this way. So i went with rotate L, descend, ascend, rotate R as mapped to QWER, and 9 and 6 you cant change. This made it possible for me to complete that mission in 4 tries. In fact, on my third try i had a 20 seconds to drop my last bomb and i MISSED the zone! I went *effing* NUTS! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
UrzaSoltan Posted May 18, 2003 Share Posted May 18, 2003 Don't use a trainer. You can easily beat it after practice, and you'll feel better that you beat it without having to cheat. But if you want to use it, go ahead. For tips on beating the mission without the trainer, all you can do is practice. It took me six tries to finally beat it. As someone said, customize your controls to something that you feel comfortable with. Also, as someone also said, when you do it, start with the top and work your way down. After I tried the mission four times, I realized that my problem was not planting the bombs before the timer, but those darn guys with pistols who kept shooting me down. This might not work for everyone, but what I did was before I picked up the first bomb, I killed all the guys with pistols in the building (and some of the ones with the hammers, but they never hit me when I played). When you do it, you don't have to worry about getting blown up. Just keep trying, you'll get it. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The timer won't count down until you active the first bomb, so instead of planting the first bomb go take care of the gangs first. then you'll need to know the course of escape since the main gate is locked. Also make sure you are using ALL the helicopter controls. The copter can go left and right with the regular left and right keys, but it can also rotate usinf the the turret controls (making turning easy). I like the Avery character, so I wanted to do his missions as soon as possible... but controlling a helicopter (even an RC one) that early in the game, in a timed mission, with enemies shooting at you... well, it took me several replays to do it. In fact, I gave up, and didn't attempt it until I had flown a regular chopper quite a bit (to get a feel of just how to fly the darn thing... more complicated than driving a car, that's for sure). When I finally beat it, I had 2 seconds left (darn chopper kept wanting to go up and hit the roof). Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I had to use this method for the mission also, its too difficult, for me at least. The crappy thing about that particular trainer is that the 6 key gives you 999 zillion dollars. And you need the 6 key to fly the chopper. I hate that. I do fine with money, it's time I need, and with this trainter you can't disable the money cheat.
