There are many suspected titles (Sin City, San Andreas and GTA4 amongst them), and apparently it's going to take place in the 70's, as well. I don't play the actual game with it but its was always fun in GTA2 to run around being the invincible angel of death sent to earth to judge everyone. ...my first post in a long time and it barley makes sense. Although I don't cheat in Vice City, I never actually played GTA 3 using cheats. I also got bored of GTA 3 within 2 weeks because of the cheats. No further details about the game were revealed. We'll bring you more on this story as it becomes available. " no further details and the release date/ year is unknown. If decide to develop a new engine for the next gta, i bet it will take more than 1 year. as they did in gta3, gta3 came up 2 years after the release of gta2.... Also, I think R* are being held back by the capabilities of a ps2, a console which is approaching its 3rd year (i think). They are stuck with those capabilities until their contract runs out.
