Hi there :)

After the new update, i am facing a problem. First two weeks i thought perhaps i might be coming temporary  but i am not sure what causing it and now it's start irritating me.

Problem:

When i join a public sessions then within (1 or 2 minutes) every player leave the session (i know only the person leave session is ME). even my friends session!

I dont face any problem while i am on active missions like Cayo heist, adversaries etc. it happens only in public sessions.

what troubleshoots i did:

> Restart my internet router (speed is fine).

> Removed game cache(temp) files. Sometime if got encounter by a Modder for crashing my game or caging me then i delete files from %temp% to solve belated problems.

> Verified game files from Steam and also reinstall Rockstar Social club and launcher .

none of them worked for me so thats the reason i come here so maybe someone can help me to solve this issue.

Note:

i am on PC platform

my system spec:

processor: AMD Fx8350

Ram: 12gb ddr3 rams

Vram:Rx560 4GB

I would guess your issue is related to your Internet - so could you try contacting your Internet Service Provider and asking them to run some tests, telling them about the issue you're having?

There could be a firewall setting causing the issue too, either on your computer and blocking some ports from the GTA5.exe or a setting on your modem or router itself doing it.
It could be as simple as a backend change your ISP made which is now affecting things.

thanks for quick response.

Do you know how to check settings in firewall or internet router ports or whatever?

I wouldn't know about your router but hopefully they'd have some online instructions on how to access the settings and check there if there's any blocked ports or whatever.

I would imagine that the only way the Windows Firewall would have a rule in there is if you created one yourself or if you happened to use some mod to the game which caused that. Either way, you could try opening "Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security" and checking the Outbound Rules and seeing if there's any GTA references or whatever, and if that rule is enabled.

If so, try disabling the rule and then go online again to see if there's any change.
But I'll guess this might not be your issue anyway and it's something a bit more complex.

I have got a solution

The problem wasn't cause by my internet connection or firewall.

Solution:

Start game from Rockstar games launcher and keep it open in the background while playing game you wont get unknown network, or connection errors.

I had been starting my game from steam instead of game launcher before.

Nice ^ glad you got it sorted.

I must admit I always play with the Rockstar Launcher automatically hibernating when playing a game and don't have issues, but I appreciate some people's individual setup could be different and hence why there's problems.

Good luck!
