AmyStone Posted March 23, 2021 Share Posted March 23, 2021 We encountered this rank 1000 player fighting with some low ranks so we thought we'd get involved and try to lend a hand. It soon became obvious that he was using Cronus. The funny thing was that he still wasn't particularly good and died many times. The giveaway is when his character spasms. That happens when he activated a script to chug tonics or get rapid fire. Here area couple of points in the video where you can see the spasm. When you see characters doing this it's best to just leave. Once we knew for sure what he was doing we got out of there. Especially when the developer themselves don't safeguard or even begin offering a quality or balanced PvP experience. Still funny, though I never watched the links as I'm not giving some pansey the attention they desperately need. Just laughing at the thought some sad case need this crap with all the daft top trumps help in the game already. @Krommer, Amy's on PS4/5 IIRC. But yeah, I too more expected this to be a PC issue. A device that you plug your controller into and Cronus has scripts for the controller. That's all I got from the short watch of video. Cheats for gaming. This is what we sometimes has to deal with - Now I'm not gonna point fingers at anybody, but here where I live, we look to the east when we encounter these players .. My youngest boy and me played together once, where he was killed by a headshot in Van Horn, and seconds later I was also killed by a headshot by the same player - Nothing new here, it's a PvP game - But I was in Rhodes .... Reported the guy, and sent him a PM where I told him he was cheating, and we reported him - His only reply was "udachi" .. You can look this up for your self, both for origin and meaning ... Sad that console gamers are no longer safe from this type of crap. Theyre literally selling Cronuses and Strike Packs or whatever in stores now right next to the controllers. You even got kids shamelessly asking for cronus for their birthday, its disgusting. Im on PS4. A little while back i was in a freeroam PVP event and there was a guy literally walking around in a circle the entire game one-tap headshotting everyone with a carcano without even looking at them. I dont think he missed a single shot... He had like 80 something kills. I think it's a cultural thing where you can do whatever it takes to 'win'. And it's not only with cheats like this but in their general attitude to fights. We (2 of us) have been attacked by 6 high ranking players before and of course we stand little chance against them and they start messaging that we are noobs and don't deserve our ranks. You can't use logic or sense with these kinds of people. To them a win is a win however you achieve it. Ok rant over. As well as this obvious use of Cronus you will find some people who are harder to detect. If you encounter someone who gets instant headshots 100% of the time then it's Cronus or some other aim bot. If anything, you can learn some pvp tricks. Spoiler https://www.twitch.tv/spacelvl The only glitch he seems to be doing is equipping a hat through the posse menu as soon as you shoot it off. I am not sure about this, but some controller setups may allow for even faster menu use. He is not instant head shotting you. Often times he shoots you twice, and then gets a head shot. You should always use never without one if you are going to use PIB. Maybe in some very rare circumstances it might not be necessary, but in PVP, almost all PIB players have NWO. The card used to be better but since they nerfed it you can still be killed with a headshot as long as they don't hit your hat. There is a way when you are in a posse to continously equip the hat. I do not know how it works exactly, but you do not need your horse like normal. So, when you get a hat shot, he is pairie dogging(thats what I call it)...hiding using the hills as cover, he is equipping the hat as quick as a mask or bandana.
