HypocriticalBastard
Weird question, but does anyone know how to disable that animation most npcs play when their eyes look side to side? I'm trying to make one look absolutely dead inside but he keeps looking around as if I might stab him or something.
D T
You working on a machinima? The facial animations for pedestrians is located in [email protected]_lo.wad and [email protected]_lo.wad I'm not completely sure but I think the specific animation you're referring to is either mood_normal or mood_scared. What you could do is export both from their dictionaries and replace them with one of Niko's facial animations from [email protected]_hi.wad In theory, this should give them a completely blank stare as their models aren't rigged to play his facial movements. HypocriticalBastard
Thanks, not a bad idea, I'll try it out. Not working on a Machinima lol, but I'm making a scene where the fat biker has a complete mental breakdown. Byeah. Jeansowaty
HypocriticalBastard
Ok so I tried to my best ability to figure out how to edit .wad files all the way but I don't know how. I exported both [email protected]_lo.wad and [email protected]_hi.wad, but whenever I export a .wad file it turns into a .oad file with an accompanying file folder containing all the animations for that group. So I switched the animations in the folders, but now I have an empty [email protected]_lo.oad and an accompanying file folder. I don't know how to turn it back into a .wad. Couldn't find anything online so either I'm missing something or I should be editing them a different way. Anyway, if I can get it back into .wad format it should work. D T
Awesome. To import it back, make sure you're in edit mode and click new > import openformats > select that .oad file. It'll turn it back into a .wad file. HypocriticalBastard
