C0bra_
I was testing vice city after several changes and i noticed this: I was able to play without crashes with following settings: Windows: - Down-clocked Gf4 a bit. (Slide to green in PowerStrip) - No Anti-Aliasign - No Anisotropic filtering - Changed desktop to 1024x768 16-bit - Removed desktop background image - Closed ICQ, SpeedFan, MSI Auto-update programs. (All nonsense programs.) Vice City: - Deleted settings file (gta_vc.set) - Resolution: 800x600 16-bit - Frame limiter ON - Draw distance 10 (From left to right) - Audio Disabled (Autodetect hardware then i changed it to something else) - Dynamic acoustic modeling OFF After playing 2h without crashes i changed some settings to normal. Sounds still disabled so i think it's the soundcard. At least Creative Soudblaster Live! Users with problems should try to disable sounds. I hope this works for someone. <- allmost me at the end of testing things.
