HDR Setting are missing

Hello,

 

I own a HDR capable monitor (aw2721d) and TV (LG 55OLED CX) and for some reason, even if this game has native hdr support, I cannot activate it on neither on my panels, nor on the monitor or TV. HDR does not activate automatically when I open the game, it does not activate if I manually turn hdr on from windows settings. Moreover, I do not get the hdr settings under the display options in-game. Does anyone know a fix to this?

The setting is half way down the list in graphic settings now instead of for display options.

 

Also check that HDR is not being turned off in Windows when launching the game, sometimes this happens.

 

You have to have HDR turned on in Windows display settings for it to active in game, basically to know it works, you get HDR settings half way down the list of graphics settings instead of Brightness settings.

 

If you’ve done all this, update or reinstall the latest graphics drivers for your video card, also sometimes try DX12 over Vulkan in the graphics settings, sometimes in the past I had issues using Vulkan and HDR, so keep everything on DX12 nowadays and don’t get as many HDR issues such as it turning off in Windows when the game is launched.

 

Someone else much more helpful than myself or who can word things better than I can might be able to help further if nothing from my response works for you! As it’s been some time since I messed around getting HDR to work when it refuses to!

Hey, thanks for your reply! I have already tried by turning hdr on from windows settings, but to no avail. It works flawless in other games like BF1, BFV or Doom, the hdr activates automatically when I start the game. Somehow, for RDR2 it doesn't work no matter what I try.
