This will most likely be the case. The lack of info only makes this even more valid. Still hoping for more E&E screens though but from what i've seen is that the pictures they've shown so far hold no significant changes. I hope i'm wrong. Prove me wrong Rockstar.

My assumption is that all of the (Russian) military vehicles were supposed to be discounted this week, but weren't for obvious connections to current world events. Just like my assumption that the Patriot Mil-Spec was supposed to release on January 6 but then got swapped with the S2 Cabrio. (Adjusts tinfoil hat)

Quite frankly the only Russian esque vehicles are the Savage, Akula, Molotok, Kosatka, Chernobog, Bombushka and ofcourse the Cheburek. I dont think that the current events will influence GTAO in terms of existing characters, radio stations and vehicles. At least, i hope not. *tips tinfoil hat*

If that were the case then weapon discounts would also have to be dropped, I don't think that's the cause lol. Do forget a potential Gunrunning Part 2 if they were to do it though, I'd say.

R* should keep the Russian Vehicle but state in a lower price

Reason 1 :The Russian currency is dropping.

Reason 2: Supply of Russian vehicle increased

Do you mean the pricewheel video? That's just marketing material for the upcomming price vehicle. They put more effort into the animated newswire posts as of late but i highly doubt that's E&E material. They are just shiny renders with great post processing effects for the sake of looking good in the article itself. Great observation though, as the vehicles itself look significantly better than the older previous posts.

Discounts, not so much. 

 

But extra money is always welcome, and more so as I don't really need the cash, having bonus money on modes that others play less often when on regular play increases the amount of players. Like this week's adversary mode, just more people to smash up.

Nope. To be honest since Cayo i never bothered to go after the events itself soley for the money. I play the events purely for fun. The best event weeks for me are the 2x on the bunker or cargo sales. Dont care about discounts either since they almost always apply for vehicles i dont use nor care about.

Maybe, but weapons are generic nationality. The items @Thomas The Dank Engine listed plus the Kasatka are specifically Russian. Any sort of negative perception that could incite the unruly internet mobs two weeks before a release would be best to be avoided. I'm keeping my tinfoil hat on unless there has been event weeks with no vehicle discounts before. Although, if this is the case, it makes me wonder what the internal structures are to make them pull out discounts as opposed to replacing them with something else.

I always considered that to be The Doomsday Heist given the second Oppressor mission (the "finale" to Gunrunning) ended with Agent 14 teasing an even bigger update. Besides... who the hell would want a Gunrunning 2 update in 2022 GTA Online? Research, mobile game "Business" gameplay, f*ck that sh*t. I admit, I was expecting December 2017 to be an aqua-themed update since we already got land & air military updates that year, but now I'm more familiar with game design, LSSS/Cayo are probably the closest we'll get to aqua focused updates, because the big problem is GTA V's map not having bodies of water that players would use to get around the map.

These answers are based on the fact I'm over halfway to being a billionaire.

 

- Discounts? No, unless it's something stupid like the Rampant Rocket or Swift Deluxe that I have no practical reason to purchase, or if it's a new update and there's something I know would be practical in a very unique situation, I can wait for it to go on sale. The Tuner's update for example, I'm not a car guy, yet I bought every vehicle Day One except the Annis Remus, which I won from the Prize Ride podium.

- Bonuses? Yes, these are what can intice me to play the game outside of new content - because it's always fun and worthwhile to get extra money for the same amount of effort & time from gameplay that already pays an amount worth the time and effort.

I'm sure this may have been answered elsewhere but it just seems odd to me that every screenshot from the newswire page is exactly 4k resolution when I look at the EXIF info.

 

Almost as if E&E has been teased in plain sight!

True, I know I don't need the discounts but it's always nice when friends can pick up something new cheap and we compare etc. 

 

Plus it's a good way to get people to maybe spend a few extra bucks before the transfer.
